Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a microneedle and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to a microneedle and a method of manufacturing the microneedle which are capable of continuous and satisfactory drug delivery.
In general, microneedle is used for the delivery of active substances such as drugs, vaccines and the like in vivo, detection of biosolids, and biopsy. Drug delivery using microneedles is intended for the delivery of active substances through the skin, not the vascular system such as blood vessels or lymphatic vessels. Therefore, the micro needle must have sufficient physical strength to the extent that penetration of the skin is possible, and it is also preferable that the pain is small. In order to reduce pain as much as possible, the shorter the application time of the microneedle is, the more advantageous it is, and in this case the active substance must be able to be delivered quickly.
Conventional microneedles are made of materials such as silicon, non-biodegradable polymers, metals, and glass. In the case of such a conventional micro needle, there is a problem that a sufficient contact time of the active ingredient (drug) contained in the micro needle is required to spread to body fluids.
In order to solve the above problems, a roller shape has been proposed for smooth transfer of an active ingredient (drug). This is a method in which a plurality of micro needles are formed around a roller, a roller is rolled on the surface of the skin to form a plurality of fine channels in the skin, and then the active ingredient is applied secondarily. There is a limit to continuous and smooth delivery.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a microneedle capable of continuous and smooth drug delivery.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.
A method of manufacturing a micro needle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes:
(1) 제조하고자 하는 마이크로니들의 형상이 음각된 몰드를 준비하는 제1단계;(1) preparing a mold in which the shape of the microneedles to be manufactured is engraved;
(2) 용매에 생분해성 고분자와 약물을 혼합하는 제2단계;(2) a second step of mixing a drug with a biodegradable polymer in a solvent;
(2) 상기 제2단계의 과정을 통하여 얻어진 혼합액을 상기 제1단계에서 준비된 몰드에 도포하는 제3단계;(2) a third step of applying the mixed solution obtained through the process of the second step to the mold prepared in the first step;
(3) 상기 제3단계를 통하여 몰드에 도포된 혼합액에서 용매를 증발 또는 휘발시키는 제4단계;(3) a fourth step of evaporating or volatilizing the solvent in the mixed liquid applied to the mold through the third step;
(4) a fifth step of thermally treating the mixed liquid in which the solvent is evaporated or volatilized through the fourth step to mold the micro needle; And
(5) separating the micro needles formed through the fifth step from the mold.
The mold prepared in the first step has a shape in which the shape of the microneedles to be manufactured is engraved. In addition, it is preferable that a coating portion is provided at a portion where the shape of the microneedles of the mold is engraved to smoothly separate the formed microneedles.
In the second step, a biodegradable polymer and a drug are mixed in a solvent to prepare a mixed solution. The solvent may be any solvent capable of dissolving the biodegradable polymer and the drug. The drug is also not particularly limited, and may be selected variously according to the purpose.
Any biodegradable polymer may be used as the biodegradable polymer. For example, poly (lactic acid) (HA), poly (lactic acid) (PLA), polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), polyetheramide (PEA) but are not limited to, lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA), polyglycolic acid (PGA), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and mixtures thereof.
When the mold is prepared through the first step (Fig. 1 (a)) and the mixed liquid is prepared through the second step, the mixed liquid is applied to the mold (Fig. After the mixed liquid is applied to the mold, the solvent contained in the mixed liquid is evaporated or volatilized (FIG. 1 (c)). The process of evaporating or volatilizing the solvent may be performed at room temperature or in a state of applying heat. The process of evaporating or volatilizing the solvent itself is well known in the art, and a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
After the solvent is evaporated or volatilized, heat treatment is performed (step 5). The heat treatment is performed with respect to the entire mold in which the mixed liquid is contained. Through this process, the mixed liquid is hardened, and the microneedles having a desired shape can be obtained. The heat treatment is preferably performed at a temperature ranging from 100 to 250 ° C for 1 to 60 minutes. If the heat treatment time and temperature are less than the lower limit value, the mixed solution may not be completely hardened and the shape of the microneedles may not be completely formed. , And when the heat treatment temperature and time exceed the upper limit value, the biodegradable polymer and the drug may be deformed, which is not preferable.
Next, when the heat treatment is completed, the microneedles are separated from the mold (Fig. 1 (d)). At this time, if the coating portion is provided on the portion where the micro needle shape of the mold is engraved, the micro needle can be more easily separated.
The microneedles separated from the mold may contain foreign substances such as a residual solvent or a substance forming a coated portion of the mold. The microneedles separated from the mold are subjected to additional heat treatment in order to remove them, and the additional heat treatment is preferably performed at a temperature ranging from 50 to 100 DEG C for 1 to 5 hours. If the additional heat treatment temperature and time are less than the lower limit value, the object of further heat treatment to remove foreign substances may not be achieved. If the additional heat treatment temperature and time exceed the upper limit value, There is a possibility that a problem such as a change may occur.
The present invention also provides a microneedle fabricated by the above-described manufacturing method.
