BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a short-channel or multi-channel modulation apparatus having a complex modulation unit, and more particularly, to a technique capable of outputting broadcast signals of various modulation schemes using only one board.
Terrestrial broadcasting is a broadcasting system that transmits radio waves through a transmission station or a relay station installed on the ground and receives the radio waves through an antenna at home or the like.
Terrestrial analog broadcasting is mainly used for terrestrial broadcasting, and terrestrial digital broadcasting is added and mixed with the development of communication and computer technology.
The terrestrial digital broadcasting not only includes a large amount of data information together with terrestrial analog broadcasting, but also has an advantage of excellent broadcasting quality because it uses the 8-VSB modulation method. However, terrestrial digital broadcasting has a disadvantage that it can not be received through the existing analog TV. However, as digital TVs have become more popular due to the development of digital technologies, generations are being replaced.
On the other hand, as for the policy, analog TV broadcasting belonging to the old technology differs depending on the country, but the timing of the stop is gradually approaching.
However, once purchased, the owner of an analog TV will not be able to easily replace the TV even though the terrestrial analog broadcasting will be discontinued due to the nature of the TV that can be used for a long time.
In order to solve such a problem, a set-top box for receiving terrestrial digital broadcasting and converting it into an analog TV signal has been proposed. However, such a set-top box is required to be installed for each analog TV, so that the cost is high, and a very inefficient problem occurs in a large residential area such as an apartment.
In order to solve such a problem, a modulator capable of modulating a short channel or a multi-channel has been proposed. However, since this modulator can process only one modulation method, A problem arises in which the number of modulation apparatuses is required.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a modulator capable of performing only a single channel or multi-channel and multi-modulation with only one board.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, a single-channel or multi-channel modulation apparatus provided with a complex modulation unit according to an embodiment of the present invention converts an ASI input signal for each channel constituting a single channel or multiple channels into an MPEG- A first conversion unit for outputting the converted data; A second conversion unit for converting an output signal of the first conversion unit into a predetermined bit rate for each channel; A modulator for modulating an output signal of the second conversion unit for each channel and outputting the modulated output signal; And an output unit for outputting an output signal of the modulator to an RF DAC connected to a subsequent stage for each channel, wherein the modulator includes at least two modulation schemes And the complex modulation unit determines a modulation scheme according to a modulation selection signal included in an input signal input to the first conversion unit.

According to the present invention, by adopting the complex modulation unit, it is possible to cope with various types of modulation requests with only one modulation apparatus without a number of modulation apparatuses corresponding to the modulation method.
