Abstract

The present invention relates to a display device and a control method for the same. The display device comprises: a camera; a user input unit; a storage unit; a signal processing unit for processing content; a display unit for displaying the processed content; and a control unit for photographing, by the camera, a plurality of images which the user watches, registering the images based on the input of the user using the user input unit and storing the images in the storage unit, when content with conditional access is displayed, determining whether a user watching the content is registered based on the stored images, and performing conditional access to the content according to the determination result. Thus, various images which the user watches can be registered to improve a recognition rate for the user to which conditional access is applied. Display device and control method {DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME}

The present invention relates to a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same, and more particularly, to a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same, which increase a recognition rate for a user to which a viewing restriction is applied by registering various viewing images of the user.

Display devices such as DTV have a function of setting parental control. If the set viewing constraint is met, the display device prevents the display of the content.

In order to distinguish a user, for example, a child, to which the parental control is applied, the conventional display device uses a method such as password input.

 Recently, as a camera is provided in a display device, a user recognition method using a camera has been developed. However, various images are not applied to user recognition using a camera. For example, when one front face of a user is applied to user recognition using a camera, when the user's viewing posture is changed, that is, lying down, looking to the side, or wearing glasses, there is a problem in that the recognition is not performed.

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same, by increasing the recognition rate of a user to which a viewing restriction is applied by registering various viewing images of the user.

The object of the present invention is a display device comprising: a camera; A user input section; A storage unit; A signal processor for processing content; A display unit displaying the processed content; And photographing a plurality of viewing images of the user through the camera, registering them based on the user's input using the user input unit, and storing the plurality of viewing images when the content with the parental level is displayed, when the content with the parental level is displayed. It may be achieved by a display device including a control unit for determining whether a user who views the content based on the registered user, and performs the viewing restriction according to the determination result.

The plurality of viewing images of the registered user may satisfy a predetermined shooting condition.

The controller may register the plurality of viewing images as additional corresponding shooting conditions when the plurality of viewing images of the registered user does not satisfy the shooting conditions.

When determining whether the user who is watching the content is the registered user, the controller may first perform viewing restriction and repeat the determination if the reliability of the determination is less than a predetermined value.

When the user photographs for registration, a guide image regarding the photographing condition may be displayed.

When the user shoots for registration, a guide message regarding the shooting condition may be displayed.

According to an aspect of the present invention, a control method of a display apparatus includes: photographing a plurality of viewing images of a user through a camera, registering and storing the plurality of viewing images of the user, and displaying a content for which viewing restrictions are set; It may be achieved by a control method of a display apparatus that determines whether a user who views the content is the registered user based on the plurality of stored viewing images, and performs viewing restriction according to the determination result.

The plurality of viewing images of the registered user may satisfy a predetermined shooting condition.

Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains. The present invention may be embodied in many different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. In order to clearly illustrate the present invention, parts not related to the description are omitted, and the same or similar components are denoted by the same reference numerals throughout the specification.

The display device according to the present invention includes a camera 2, a signal processor 3, a display 4, a controller 5, a storage 6, and a user input 7.

The camera 2 is built in the display device to capture a plurality of viewing images of the user. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the camera 2 may be separately provided and connected to the display apparatus. The functions of the other cameras 2 are as commonly known. The plurality of viewing images of the user captured by the camera 2 must satisfy predetermined shooting conditions. The predetermined shooting condition may include a user's viewing appearance and a viewing environment. When the user is sitting, the user can see the front, left / right side, back, wearing glasses, facial expression, etc., when the user is lying down, the front, left / right side, back, wearing glasses, facial expression, And the like. The viewing environment of the user may include brightness according to illuminance.

The signal processor 3 may process content displayed on the display unit 4 under the control of the controller 5. If the display device is a television, the content may be included in a received broadcast signal or received from an external device connected to the display device. Content may be classified by user. For example, the content may be graded corresponding to the age of the user, and based on the graded grade, the young users may be prevented from being exposed to content that is not appropriate for the age. Such a rating may be included as additional information in the content.

The storage unit 6 may store a plurality of viewing images of the user captured by the camera 2. Then, the registration information for the plurality of users input through the user input unit 7 may be stored. In the storage unit 6, a plurality of viewing images may be constructed in a database corresponding to the registered user.

The user input unit 7 may enable a user to register a user using a viewing image of the user photographed through the camera 2.

The controller 5 captures a plurality of viewing images of the user through the camera 2, registers them based on the user's input using the user input unit 7, and stores them in the storage unit 6 to set viewing restrictions. When is displayed, it is determined whether the user who views the content is a registered user based on the stored plurality of viewing images, and the viewing restriction is performed according to the determination result.

And, when the plurality of viewing images of the registered user does not satisfy the shooting condition, the control unit 5 registers the plurality of viewing images as additional corresponding shooting conditions. For example, as a registered user's viewing image, when the user is sitting, only the front, left / right side, back, wearing glasses, and facial expression of the user are registered as shooting conditions. If so, the controller 5 adds and registers a shooting condition corresponding to the lying image.

The controller 5 determines whether the user viewing the content is a registered user, and if the reliability of the determination is less than the predetermined value, first performs the viewing restriction and repeats the determination. For example, when the reliability of the decision is less than the predetermined value at an angle at which the user is difficult to recognize, when the content with the parental level is displayed, the parental level is first performed first. Subsequently, the determination is repeated to release the parental control if it is determined that the user is a registered user, otherwise maintain the parental control.

Here, the viewing restriction may be made through a black screen or a screen designated by the user. In addition, when the content for which the parental level is set is a broadcast program, the parental level may be set by skipping a channel that is broadcasting the broadcast program when selecting a channel. When the channel list or the electronic program guide (EPG) is requested, the viewing restriction may display the list or the electronic program guide except for the channel broadcasting the corresponding broadcast program. Even if the corresponding broadcast program is displayed in the list or the electronic program guide (EPG), it may be displayed with the message of no access. In addition, when the content for which the parental level is set is an application service, the parental level may be displayed together with an inaccessible message even if the application is hidden from the list or not hidden in the list.

The shooting condition is a criterion for user registration, and the image of the user for registration may be photographed by the camera 2 after being guided to satisfy the shooting condition. 7 is an exemplary diagram illustrating that a guide message regarding a shooting condition is displayed when a user is registered. As illustrated in FIG. 7, when the user photographs for registration in FIG. 3, a guide message regarding a shooting condition may be displayed. If the user's current viewing environment is too dark, the user can easily register with the viewing image meeting the shooting conditions by presenting the message 'brighten the surroundings'.

8 and 9 are exemplary diagrams for setting a content rating to limit viewing when registering a user. In FIG. 4, when the user presses the 'content rating', the parental control content rating of the registered user may be expanded into a submenu as shown in FIG. 8. In this embodiment, the content rating is set according to the age of the user. If the content rating is set according to the age of the user, the age may be presented from 7 to 19 years old. FIG. 9 illustrates a case in which a parental control level is set to 9 years old for the parental control when the registered user is 9 years old. In addition to age, the content rating may be set based on gender, health status, and the like.

10 and 11 are exemplary diagrams for setting a viewing time to limit viewing upon user registration. When the user presses the 'viewing time' in FIG. 4, the viewing time of the user may be expanded into a submenu as shown in FIG. 10. In this embodiment, the viewing time is set in units of one hour. In this case, one of Off, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours can be selected. 11 illustrates a case where a parental control is set such that a registered user watches only for one hour. In addition, the viewing time may be set to be set in units of 1 minute, 10 minutes, and 30 minutes.

As described above, when a plurality of users are registered, when at least one user who matches the parental level setting occurs, parental control is performed. For example, when the content rating is set as described above for viewing restriction, viewing restriction is performed according to the age of the youngest user among the plurality of users. In addition, when the viewing time is set as described above for viewing restriction, the viewing restriction is performed according to the user's time set as the shortest viewing time among the plurality of users.

Here, the reference line for determining the sitting position and lying position may be determined through the mouth, nose, etc. in addition to the eyes of the user.
