Description

Flexible flat cable fixing structure of backlight unit {STRUCTURE OF FIXING FLEXIBLE FLAT CABLE TO COVER BOTTOM OF BLU}

The present invention relates to a backlight device, and more particularly to a flexible flat cable fixing structure of the backlight device for fixing the flexible flat cable (FFC) to the cover bottom of the backlight.

In general, a liquid crystal display (LCD) is widely used as a flat panel display because it can be driven using low power and has a vivid color reproduction capability. However, unlike CRTs and PDPs, LCDs are non-light-emitting devices that do not emit light directly, and a backlight unit using a fluorescent lamp is separately used to irradiate light from the back of the LCD panel to the panel. Required.

Back light used in the liquid crystal display device is classified into front dimming type (or direct type) and side dimming type (or edge type) according to a method of disposing a light emitting diode (LED) light source. Direct-lighting is to place the LED light source under the diffuser plate of the flat plate. Since the shape of the light source is shown on the liquid crystal panel, the space between the light source and the liquid crystal should be secured and maintained. Since the light scattering means must be separately installed for distribution, there is a limitation in thinning. Edge-lighting is to distribute the light to the whole surface by using the light guide plate after installing the light source on the side of the light guide panel of the flat plate, there is a problem of low luminance and high optical processing of the light guide plate Skill is required.

Meanwhile, most backlight devices are wired using a flexible flat cable (hereinafter, referred to as an 'FFC cable') at the cover bottom. In the backlight device manufacturing process according to the prior art, when fixing the FFC cable to the cover bottom, as shown in Figure 1, the tape 3 was used. Referring to FIG. 1, the cover bottom 1 of the backlight device is provided with an FFC cable 2 connected to the LED connector. The tape 3 is attached to prevent the FFC cable 2 from floating or moving during the movement. Was used to fix the FFC cable (2).

In the process of manufacturing the backlight device, if the FFC cable is fixed to the cover bottom using tape as in the prior art, the number of workers increases and the manufacturing cost increases due to the decrease of the working rate, and the loss due to defective products due to the missing tape and the poor adhesion There is a problem that (Loss) increases.

The present invention has been proposed to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to form a FFC cable fastener mechanically on the cover bottom without using a tape to fast and stably fix the FFC cable To provide a flexible flat cable fixing structure.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is an FFC fixing structure for preventing the flow of the FFC installed on the cover bottom of the backlight device, the first fixing piece is formed with a first pressing piece to take one side of the FFC; And a second fixture having a second pressing piece formed to cover the other side of the FFC, wherein the first pressing piece and the second pressing piece are arranged in a zigzag manner so that the first pressing piece and the second pressing piece face each other. It features.

Here, the first pressing piece and the second pressing piece is characterized in that the end portion is formed to be inclined downward, the end portion has a projection protruding downward.

In the FFC cable fixing structure according to the present invention, the FFC cable is fixed to the LED connector at the cover bottom of the backlight device, and then the FFC cable is fixed while passing through the first fixture and the second fixture, thereby preventing the cable from floating. In particular, according to the present invention by applying the structure of the FFC cable fixing hanger can be used because it does not use tape (TAPE) can reduce the parts, it is possible to improve the productivity by shortening the cable fixing time simply by inserting the cable to the pressing piece There is.

1 is a schematic diagram showing a conventional structure for fixing the FFC cable in the cover bottom of the backlight unit,
Figure 2 is a schematic diagram showing a structure for connecting the FFC cable to the cover bottom in the backlight unit according to the present invention,
3 is an enlarged perspective view of the first fixture and the second fixture shown in FIG.
4 is a partial perspective view showing an example in which the first fixture and the second fixture are installed in a zigzag manner, and
5 and 6 are longitudinal cross-sectional views showing a modified example of the fixture shown in FIG.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The above and other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of the present invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. The following examples are merely illustrative of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

Figure 2 is a schematic diagram showing the connection of the FFC cable to the cover bottom in the backlight device according to the invention, Figure 3 is an enlarged perspective view of the first fixture and the second fixture shown in Figure 2, (a) is a first (B) shows a second fastener, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an example in which the first fastener and the second fastener are installed in a zigzag manner.

As shown in FIG. 2, the cover bottom 20 of the backlight device according to the present invention includes a first fixing tool 10a having a pressing piece 12 formed thereon so as to hang the FFC cable 22 from one side, and the other side. The second fixing tool 10b having the pressing piece 12 formed thereon to be fastened to the FFC cable 22 is arranged in a zigzag shape to fix the FFC cable 22. Here, the pressing piece 12 may be formed by protruding by pressing after cutting a portion of the bottom surface of the cover bottom 20, or may be formed of a mold of the cover bottom 20. One side of the pressing piece 12 is fixedly connected to the cover bottom 20 by the support piece 11 and extends in a horizontal direction while securing a predetermined distance from the bottom surface of the cover bottom 20.

Referring to FIG. 3, the first fixture 10a prevents the FFC cable 22 inserted through the opening from being pushed or pushed to one side by the horizontal pressing piece 12 protruding in a '┐' shape. The second fixing tool 10b prevents the FFC cable 22 inserted through the opening from being pushed or pushed to the other side by the horizontal pressing piece 12 protruding in a '┌' shape.

As shown in FIG. 4, the first fixture 10a and the second fixture 10b are arranged in a zigzag manner with the FFC cable 22 interposed therebetween to face each other in the opposite direction. While fixing the FFC cable 22 caught on both sides so as not to move to both sides, and prevents the floating up. That is, the pair of pressing pieces 12 forming the first fixing tool 10a and the second fixing tool 10b are formed to face each other.

5 and 6 are views showing a modification of the first fixture or the second shown in Figure 2 according to another embodiment of the present invention. 5 and 6 illustrate the shape of the second fixture, but the same applies to the first fixture.

First, as shown in FIG. 5, the pressing piece 12 extending in the horizontal direction from the upper end of the support piece 11 forms a downward slope. The horizontal pressing piece 12, one side of which is fixedly connected to the cover bottom 20 by the support piece 11, has a predetermined elasticity, and when the end is inclined downward, the FFC cable 22 inserted into the lower side thereof. It is elastically pressurized. The elastic pressing by the pressing piece 12 prevents the FFC cable 22 from being flown and separated so that the FFC cable 22 can be more stably fastened.

6, the protrusion 13 may be formed at an end portion of the pressing piece 12. The protrusion 13 prevents the FFC cable 22 inserted below the pressing piece 12 from being separated. In this case, the protrusion 12 may be formed in a hook shape in which the inner surface is vertical and the outer surface is inclined inward as shown. The hook-shaped protrusion 13 allows the FFC cable 22 to be easily inserted while preventing the inserted FFC cable 22 from being easily detached.

Therefore, according to the present invention, the FFC cable can be fixed without using a tape by using the FFC cable fixing hook structure formed on the cover bottom of the backlight device, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process and improving productivity.
