Abstract

A method for forming patterns in injection molding comprises: a step of fixing a pattern material having a desired pattern on the surface of a metal pattern manufactured so as to correspond to the shape of a target product; a step of forming a conductive layer on the surface of the pattern material; a step of forming a metal layer in which a pattern corresponding to the desired pattern is formed by performing electrodeposition on the surface of the pattern material with the conductive layer; a step of forming a mold core by exfoliating the metal layer formed by the electrodeposition from the pattern material; a step of forming an injection mold by inserting the mold core into an injection mold structure; and a step of manufacturing an injection molding product with the desired pattern by performing injection molding with the injection mold. After the pattern material with the desired pattern is fixed on the surface of the metal pattern and the conductive layer is formed, the mold core is formed by performing the electrodeposition with the same, thereby manufacturing the injection mold product which intactly reflects the pattern of the pattern material by a simple process.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001]

The present invention relates to an injection pattern forming method for forming a pattern on a surface of an article formed through injection using an injection mold.

2. Description of the Related Art [0002] Information and communication devices such as cellular phones are widely used, and users' demands for aesthetic appearance of these products are also increasing.

Conventionally, there has been an attempt to enhance aesthetics by putting a hair line or various patterns in a case or a part of a product such as a cellular phone.

Conventionally, a case made of a metal or a part thereof has been used, and it has been very difficult to form various patterns on such a metal material, and manufacturing costs have been high.

Due to these problems, there is a need for a technique for replacing the case of a cellular phone or its parts with a synthetic resin product and forming various kinds of patterns on the surface thereof.

However, the surface of a synthetic resin product generally has a three-dimensional solid shape. In order to form a desired fine pattern on the surface of such a three-dimensional shape, it is difficult to form a pattern on the surface of a mold for injection molding.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to an injection pattern forming method capable of forming a desired pattern on the surface of an injection product formed through an injection mold.

In the injection pattern forming method according to an embodiment of the present invention, fixing the pattern material having a desired pattern on the surface of the metal model manufactured to correspond to the shape of the target product, forming a conductive layer on the surface of the pattern material Step, performing electroplating on the surface of the pattern material on which the conductive layer is formed to form a metal layer having a pattern corresponding to the desired pattern, peeling the metal layer formed by the electroplating from the pattern material mold core Forming an injection mold by inserting the mold core into an injection mold structure, and performing injection molding using the injection mold to manufacture an injection molded product having the desired pattern.

The pattern material may be a fiber or leather material having the desired pattern.

According to the present invention, by fixing a pattern material having a desired pattern on the surface of the metal model and forming a conductive layer, the electroplating is used to form a mold core to form a mold core. Mold products can be manufactured.

In particular, an injection mold can be formed by forming a mold core using electroplating and inserting it into a mold structure to form an injection mold so that a desired pattern can be realized by a simple method.

1 is a view showing in sequence the steps of the injection pattern forming method according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Hereinafter, a method of forming an injection pattern according to embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the method of forming an injection pattern according to an embodiment of the present invention, an injection mold having a desired pattern is formed, and injection molding is performed using the injection mold.

First, the pattern material having the desired pattern is fixed to the surface of the metal model manufactured to correspond to the shape of the target product to be finally manufactured. For example, as shown in Fig. 1 (a), the outer surface 11 of the metal mold 10 may be manufactured to have a curved shape according to the shape of the outer surface of the target product, 10 may be formed of a brass material. Particularly, when the target product has a curved three-dimensional shape in the rear case of a cellular phone having a curved surface, the metal model 10 can be produced in a three-dimensional shape having a corresponding curved surface. The pattern material 20 is fixed to the metal model 10 as shown in FIG. In this case, the pattern material 20 may be a material having a unique pattern such as fiber or leather.

And forming a conductive layer on the surface of the pattern material 20. The conductive layer may be formed of a thin metal film having electrical conductivity although not shown in the figure. At this time, the conductive layer is preferably formed so thin that the pattern of the pattern material 20 does not disappear. The conductive layer is performed to impart electrical conductivity to the surface of the pattern material 20 so that electroplating described later can be performed.

Then, as illustrated in FIG. 1C, electroplating is performed on the surface of the pattern material 20 on which the conductive layer is formed to form the metal layer 30 on which the pattern corresponding to the desired pattern is formed. At this time, for example, the electroplating may be a nickel electroplating. Accordingly, electroplating is performed on the surface of the pattern material 20 having the desired pattern, so that the metal layer 30 is formed by electroplating, as shown in the enlarged view indicated by the dotted circle in FIG. The pattern 31 corresponding to the desired pattern (that is, the pattern of the pattern material) is formed on the surface of. The surface on which the pattern 31 of the metal layer 30 is formed has a shape corresponding to the shape of the outer surface 11 of the metal model 10 and thus has a shape corresponding to the surface shape of the target product.

Then, as shown in FIG. 1D, the metal layer 30 formed by electroplating is peeled off the pattern material 20 to form the mold core 40. That is, the metal layer 30 formed by electroplating becomes the mold core 40. Accordingly, the mold core 40 is provided with a pattern 31 corresponding to the desired pattern of the target product.

Then, the injection mold is formed using the formed mold core 40. At this time, as shown in (e) of FIG. 1, the injection mold 60 may be formed by inserting the mold core 40 into the injection mold structure 50. At this time, the mold core 40 may be inserted into the injection mold structure 50 and fixed by any method such as welding.

Then, injection molding is performed using the injection mold 60 formed through the above-described process to manufacture an injection molded product having a desired pattern. Since the mold core 40 of the injection mold 60 has an outer surface shape of the desired target product and a pattern formed thereon, the injection molded product manufactured through the injection mold 60 has a target shape and pattern.

Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and improvements of those skilled in the art using the basic concepts of the present invention defined in the following claims are also provided. It belongs to the scope of rights.
