Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to remote control of electronic devices (and utilities) in homes (and buildings) using smartphones and wireless communication technology. More specifically, via the Internet, a smartphone is connected to a wireless communication terminal (including WiFi AP equipment) in a home (and a building), and then connected to the home (and a building) via a wireless communication terminal connected to the smartphone wirelessly. The present invention relates to a method for remotely controlling an electronic device (and facility).
In general, wireless communication technologies include wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless USB (wireless universal serial bus), Bluetooth, ZigBee, WiBro, Wi-Fi, WiGig. , RFID technology, IrDA-based infrared communication technology.
The electronic device and the facility may transmit / receive data with the outside by embedding wireless communication hardware using one or more methods of the wireless communication technology.
The smartphone is capable of wireless communication using 2G, 3G, 4G and one or more of the above wireless communication methods. It can also be used to access the Internet and exchange information with other users connected to the Internet.
At this time, the operation of electronic devices and facilities, and the maintenance and repair of buildings are all performed by hand. Therefore, it was true that the operation was inconvenient and inefficient in terms of time.
The present invention was created to solve the inconvenience and inefficiency as described above, by using a smart phone capable of internet access, saves the operating time of electronic devices and facilities in the home (and buildings) without the limitation of space and time In addition, the overall management is facilitated, and the remote control of the user is also possible to significantly increase the efficiency and convenience of operation.
Throughout the present invention, the use of wireless communication technology refers to wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless USB (wireless universal serial bus), Bluetooth, zigbee, WiBro, Wi-Fi, By using one or more of WiGig, RFID technology, and IrDA-based infrared communication technology.
In the present invention, an electric device, a facility, or a wireless communication terminal refers to a device manufactured to enable data transmission and reception with an external device by embedding hardware using at least one method of the wireless communication technology.
Step 1: Each electronic device and facility in the home (and building) uses radio communication technology to transmit information about the device (or facility) to a wireless communication terminal in the home (and building) where the device (or facility) is installed. (Fig. 2)
Step 2: The wireless communication terminal connects the information received from each electronic device and facility to the Internet via a modem (Figure 3).
Step 3: The user connects to the wireless communication terminal in the home (and building) via a smartphone via the Internet (Fig. 3).
Step 4: The user checks the information of each electronic device and equipment received by the smart phone from the connected wireless communication terminal (Fig. 3).
Step 5: The user transmits the command information to the connected wireless communication terminal to operate a specific electronic device (and facility) in the home (and building) (Fig. 3).
Step 6: The wireless communication terminal transmits the command information transmitted from the user to a specific electronic device (and facility) using a wireless communication technology (Fig. 2).
Step 7: The specific electronic device (and facility) that receives the command information from the wireless communication terminal executes the user's command (Fig. 2).
By utilizing the present invention as described above, homes, companies, offices and all buildings can be managed by a user's smart phone, and can also be controlled remotely.
Figure 1 is a diagram of the overall method of exchanging information between each electronic device (and facility) in a home (and building) and a user's smartphone.
Figure 2 illustrates how information is exchanged between each electronic device (and facility) in a home (and building) and a wireless communication terminal.
'Figure 3' is a diagram illustrating a method of exchanging information between a wireless communication terminal and a user's smartphone.
With reference to the accompanying drawings to aid in understanding the process, air conditioners will be described with specific examples.
Step 1: The wireless communication hardware embedded in the air conditioner transmits information such as on / off / current temperature of the air conditioner to the wireless communication terminal in the home (and building) where the air conditioner is installed.
(Fig. 2)
Step 2: The wireless communication terminal receiving the air conditioner information is connected to the Internet through a modem (Fig. 3).
Step 3: The user connects to the wireless communication terminal via a smartphone via the Internet.
(Fig. 3)
Step 4: The user checks the information of the air conditioner received by the smartphone from the wireless communication terminal (Fig. 3).
Step 5: The user transmits command information to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner to the connected wireless communication terminal by using the smartphone (Fig. 3).
Step 6: The wireless terminal transmits the command information transmitted from the user to the wireless communication hardware built in the air conditioner using wireless communication technology.
(Drawing 2)
Step 7: The wireless communication hardware built into the air conditioner receiving command information from the wireless communication terminal causes the air conditioner to raise or lower the temperature (Fig. 2).
The lightning bolt symbol means wireless data transmission and reception.
(This symbol is a symbol drawn between the Internet and a smartphone, between a wireless communication terminal and each electronic device and facility in 'Drawing 1', 'Drawing 2', 'Drawing 3' and 'Representative drawing')
