Abstract
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a foldable portable terminal having a flexible display. In order to increase portability and expandability of a screen display window, a flexible display is integrated in a continuous form from a front hinge to a rear panel of a portable terminal. To solve the problem that the flexible display is damaged through the outer surface when the panel is folded, and the surface folds of the flexible display wrapped around the hinge surface when the panel is unfolded. It is possible to implement a large screen display window without bending by applying a method of flattening and fixing it. In other words, it refers to a terminal of a combination of a tablet PC and a mobile phone, it is characterized in that it is implemented including a variety of additional functions for convenient use.
Description
The present invention relates to a foldable portable terminal having a flexible display, and more particularly, to combine an integrated flexible display continuously from the front panel to the rear panel of the portable terminal, opening and closing while rotating the panel in the left and right directions. The present invention relates to a portable terminal having increased portability, expandability of a screen display window, and the like.
In general, in order to use services such as broadcasting and communication wirelessly while moving in a place that is not a fixed location, a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone or a smartphone is frequently used.
The portable terminal has become one of the indispensable necessities in order to enjoy the convenience of life according to the development of the information technology industry, and recently, it has been converted and used as a smart phone having a much more diverse function than the mobile phone.
Due to the development of IT technology and convergence of IT devices, mobile devices have been developed to mount more and more functions such as video playback, DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) reception, video call, Internet, and application driving.
Accordingly, portable terminals such as a tablet PC equipped with a large display having a high resolution have appeared to effectively express and conveniently use various multimedia and application information.
There is a problem in that the portability of the mobile phone or the smart phone is not equipped with a large display, and the device and the screen are too small to perform the function of the PC in a small screen portable terminal has a problem that is inconvenient to use.
In addition, in order to use a portable terminal considering mobility as a PC, it must be easily operated while moving. However, there is a problem in that the portable terminal is utilized within a limited operating method due to a lack of additional functions.
In addition, many users want a device that can simultaneously use the functions of a mobile terminal and a tablet PC, but there is no suitable terminal yet, so considering both the portability, the usability, and the cost, it is necessary to purchase both products or use only one product. There is an inconvenience to choose and use.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art, and combines a flexible display with a portable terminal, and allows the panel to be opened and closed in left and right directions, thereby providing a large screen display without portability and bending.
In addition, the present invention is implemented to include new additional functions that can be easily manipulated and utilized games and multimedia in the portable terminal for the purpose of ease of use.
To this end, a method of implementing a foldable portable terminal having a flexible display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention combines an integrated flexible display continuously from the front panel to the curved hinge and the rear panel of the portable terminal, and rotates the panel in left and right directions. It can be opened and closed while being used as a mobile phone, which can be used in a folded state to increase portability. When using as a tablet PC, it is possible to conveniently spread the mobile terminal from side to side and provide two functions at the same time through a large screen. Do.
In the flexible display coupling of the mobile terminal, when the panel is folded, it is coupled to the hinge curved surface to solve the problem of damaging the flexible display. It is possible to implement a large screen display without bending.
In addition, in order to solve the inconvenience of using the mobile terminal game and multimedia, additional functions such as button hiding / expansion / rearrangement of the software keyboard, fingerprint recognition finger mouse, multi-purpose stick tool (antenna + touch fan + joystick), etc. The device is included to provide convenience for use.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, by combining the flexible display into the appearance of the portable terminal, the panel is folded and unfolded to satisfy the portability and the expandability of the screen. That is, it is possible to provide a combined function of the mobile terminal and the tablet PC.
In addition, in the case of the conventional portable terminal, there are many limitations in securing an arrangement space of an input key capable of operating the same, compared to various additional functions, but the portable terminal according to the present invention has some buttons such as direction keys on the front panel and the rear panel. When the panel is completely unfolded, there is a touch-type button function that is activated and expands greatly.
In addition, in the case of the conventional mobile terminal, there were many inconveniences such as operation keys when using various games and multimedia, but the button hiding / expansion / rearrangement function of the software keyboard, the fingerprint recognition finger mouse, and the multipurpose stick tool (antenna + touch fan + It is possible to easily operate games or multimedia using devices such as joysticks.
In addition, in the case of a conventional mobile terminal, a mobile terminal protective case was separately used to alleviate shock, but the present invention applies the elastic material only to the edge of the mobile terminal itself while maintaining the circular design of the mobile terminal.
