Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a refrigerator, and more particularly, to a refrigerator equipped with a water supply device capable of supplying water to a dispenser and an ice maker through a water supply line.
Generally, a refrigerator includes a freezer compartment for storing frozen foods such as meat or ice cream, a refrigerator for storing foods requiring storage at a relatively low temperature state such as general side dishes, and a freezer compartment for each freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment. It is provided with a freezer compartment door to open and close.
In addition, a dispenser and an ice maker are installed in the door to install a water supply unit having a valve device that is selectively opened and closed so that the user can use cold water as needed.
The dispenser and the ice maker are mainly installed in the refrigerating compartment door and the freezing compartment door. A water tank for receiving a predetermined amount of water and supplying water to the dispenser and the ice maker is provided in the refrigerating compartment door or in the refrigerating compartment.
However, since the conventional water tank is installed inside the refrigerator compartment door or in a refrigerator compartment for storing refrigerated foods, the water tank has a limitation in increasing its capacity, and thus there is a hassle of having to replenish water in the water tank at any time.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention, by installing a water tank for supplying water to the dispenser and the ice maker in the upper and lower portions of the refrigerator from the upper water tank to the lower water tank, respectively. It is possible to increase the water storage capacity in the refrigerator by configuring the water to fall freely, and to provide a refrigerator equipped with a water supply device that increases space utilization.
