Description
The present invention relates to an information providing system that supports the simultaneous use of multiple users. More specifically, when using digital signage, only one person keeps occupying a large screen, thereby preventing the use of digital signage efficiently. The present invention relates to a system and method that can be solved.
Due to the development of the display panel industry, in addition to the home appliance market such as TV receivers, the enterprise display market called digital information display (DID) is growing significantly. These displays are installed in various public places such as shopping malls, public institutions, subway stations, and are used to show advertisements and contents to customers and passers-by. As the contents of the contents displayed on the digital information display have been diversified and complicated, digital signage (DS) for controlling the displayed contents has emerged.
In general, digital signage is a communication tool that can induce marketing, advertising, training effects, and customer experiences of companies. It is a large-screen digital video device that provides specific information as well as broadcasting programs in public places such as airports, hotels, and hospitals. In addition, the company will comprehensively supply software and management platforms that can control the main functions of existing commercial digital information displays.
Recently developed digital signage features not only simple information and advertisement exposure, but also features such as touch pad technology and high-speed Internet, which can induce the general public to participate directly in advertisement. For example, you can touch a specific part of the advertisement screen with your finger to go to the event page, download the mobile coupon to your mobile phone, use it, or take a picture with the digital camera embedded in the medium and enter the event immediately. Equipped with a function that enables two-way communication. This means that we can experience interactive banners, information and content widgets on offline screens that we often only see in websites or PC applications.
However, when one uses digital signage, one person continues to occupy a large screen, and thus there is a problem that digital signage cannot be effectively used. In other words, the existing digital signage is for a single user, and the screen is large, but only one person can use the digital signage, so the utilization of the digital signage is poor.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a system and method that can solve the problem of not using digital signage efficiently as only one person continues to occupy a large screen when using digital signage.
In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide a system and method that can increase the utilization of digital signage by allowing multiple users to use the digital signage at the same time.
In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide a user with a more comfortable UI in consideration of the location of the user.
In order to achieve this object, an information providing system supporting simultaneous use of multiple users according to the present invention includes an interface unit, a user recognition unit, an area divider, and a display control unit. The interface unit displays initial information on the display area. The user recognition unit recognizes the number of users within a predetermined range based on the display area. The area dividing unit divides the display area into areas as many as the number of recognized users. The display control unit controls to display the result information when a command is input from a user corresponding to each area.
As described above, according to the present invention, the display area is divided into areas as many as the number of users recognized by recognizing the number of users within a predetermined range based on the display area (large screen), and corresponding to each divided area. When a command is input from a user, the resulting information is dynamically displayed in the display area, and thus, when using one information providing system, multiple users may occupy the display area at the same time, thereby simultaneously providing services to multiple users. This is possible, and there is an effect of increasing the utilization of the information providing system. That is, while the existing digital signage is for a single user, by applying the present invention, multiple users can use the digital signage at the same time, thereby maximizing the utilization of the digital signage.
Further, in the present invention, since the display area is divided to reflect the user's position so that the user can input the command on the spot without having to move the position to input the command, there is an effect of providing the user with a more convenient UI.

<Description of the method>
An information providing method for supporting simultaneous use of multiple users according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the exemplary diagrams shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 along with the flowchart shown in FIG. do.
1. Segmentation Criteria and Initial Information Storage Steps <S310>
A division criterion defined to divide the display area (large screen) A differently according to the number and positions of users and initial information to be displayed in the display area A is stored. According to the division criteria, the display area A may be appropriately divided and provided to the user.
2. Initial information display step <S320>
Initial information stored in step S310, for example, a subway map or a movie advertisement, is displayed on the display area A of the
3. Recognition step and number of users <S330>
Based on the display area A, the number and location of users within a predetermined range are recognized. In this case, a virtual line is displayed on the floor in front of the display area A so that the user knows his position or proximity, and if the user is positioned within the virtual line, the virtual line is recognized.
4. Display area division step <S340>
The display area A is divided into as many areas as the number of users recognized in step S330, and the division position of each area is determined according to the position of the user.
In the present invention, the divided area includes a display area B and an input area C as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. The display area B is an area for displaying initial information. The display area B is changed in size depending on the presence, number, and location of the user. In addition, the input area C is an area in which a command is input in relation to the initial information and provides the result information according to the input, which will be omitted since it has been described in detail in the description of the system. .
Hereinafter, the step S340 will be described with an example in which the initial information is a 'subway route map' as shown in FIG. 1.
First, as shown in (a) of FIG. 4, if the number of recognized users is one, the size of the subway map shown initially is reduced and provided to the display area B. In the drawing, the center of the display area A is shown. The input area C is provided to the left where the user is located. When the user is located on the right side as shown in FIG. 4B, the subway map is provided on the left side, and the input area C is provided on the right side. In addition, as shown in FIG. 4C, the size of the subway map shown initially is not adjusted, and the search content may be displayed by overlapping the input area C on the subway map. That is, the input area C may allow a user to view a subway map and input a command for searching for the shortest route, fare, and station information, and is provided to display the result information according to the command input.
If the number of recognized users is three, the arrangement of the divided regions may include a subway line that all users can see in common, and three input areas in which commands can be input from each user as shown in FIG. Divided by). Alternatively, as shown in (b) of FIG. 5, three users may be divided into subway lines and three input areas C in which a command can be input from each user. The division arrangement as described above is performed by reflecting the division criteria stored in the operation S310, and the division arrangement may be variously performed, but is not limited thereto.
According to the present invention, since the display area (A) is divided into the display area (B) and the input area (A) to reflect the position of the user, the user can execute the command on the spot without having to move the position to input the command. Input can provide a more convenient UI to the user.
5. Step of determining whether the number of users and the location change <S350>
After the display area A is divided to reflect the number and location of the user recognized in step S340, the method determines whether the number and location of the user have changed. In step S340, the display area A is divided so that the display area A is divided.
6. User input step <S360>
A command is input from a user corresponding to each area divided in step S340. In the present invention, a command is input through a touch.
7. Control step <S370>
In step S360, a control signal is output to display result information according to a command input from a user.
8. Display result information step <S380>
The result information is displayed according to the control signal output in step S370. If there are a plurality of users, the result information according to a command inputted differently for each user is displayed in each input area C.
Meanwhile, an application example according to the steps S310 to S380 will be described with reference to FIG. 6.
Initially, the subway map is displayed in the display area A (a). When one user 1 moves into the virtual line in front of the display area A, the display area A is recognized as the display area B. And the search area is divided into an input area (C), the size of the subway map shown initially is reduced and displayed on the display area (B), and the search content is input in the input area (C) in which a command can be input from the user 1 beside the subway map. Is displayed (b). Here, the user 1 is located on the left side with respect to the center of the display area A, and thus the input area C is disposed on the left side. In this state, when the users 2 and 3 move into the virtual line, three users 1, 2 and 3 are recognized and the display area A is moved to the display areas B1, B2, B3 and the input areas C1, C2 and C3. Divide (c). In other words, as described above, the display area A is divided to provide a display area and an input area of B1 and C1 for user 1, B2 and C2 for user 2, and B3 and C3 for user 3, respectively. If the user 1 inputs a command for searching fare information from Sinchon Station to Seoul Station in C1 (d), the corresponding fare information is displayed in C1 (e). In this way, users 2 and 3 can also receive the necessary information by inputting their desired commands.
As described above, the display area A is divided into regions equal to the number of users recognized by recognizing the number of users within a predetermined range based on the display area (large screen) A, and corresponding to each divided region. When a command is input from a user, the resulting information is dynamically displayed in one display area A, so that several users can occupy the display area A simultaneously, thereby simultaneously providing services to multiple users. This is possible, and there is an effect of increasing the utilization of the present invention.
