Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a password input for preventing the improper use of a mobile phone (a portable electronic device having a call function despite its name).
The mobile phone, which is a necessity for modern people, has a lock function to prevent unauthorized use, and the password entered for secret authentication is shipped with an initial (eg 0000) state, and the user who purchases the mobile phone can change it to a password suitable for them. use.
Conventional mobile phone passwords use 1-byte characters (English, numbers, symbols, etc.) and mainly use 4-digit passwords due to the characteristics and compatibility of small keyboards.
When using the locked function of the phone, the password is entered through the keyboard and the stored password is retrieved and compared with the entered password. If the two passwords match, the use of the corresponding function is authorized.
When entering a password, the screen displays certain characters (eg ****) to prevent password leakage.
The mobile phone, which is a necessity for modern people, has been gradually developed from the simple call function in the early days, and has been reborn as a multimedia complex terminal that combines camera, navigation, TV, games, internet, customer management, payment, financial business, and PC functions. However, the password for secret authentication mainly uses 4-digit (4-byte) numeric passwords.
Conventional mobile phones have a problem of being easily leaked by a method such as stealing them during the input process, since they always input 4 strokes when entering a password.
And, up to 10,000 passwords can be combined, so if you input them in turn, you will succeed within 10,000 times.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention uses Hangul, which is a 2-byte character, as a password instead of a password used in a conventional mobile phone, and the Hangul 2 has a 4-byte storage space such as 4 numbers.
Two-character Hangul password (4 bytes) can combine 100 million or more ciphers, so there is little chance of success by random combination.
In addition, it is difficult to know the password even if you see two letters of Hangul ciphers because the number of inputs is flexible depending on the characters of at least 4 and up to 22 strokes.
Since the replacement cycle is relatively fast and is a personal product, once used, it is usually used alone until it is disposed of, so there is no compatibility problem. Therefore, the purpose is to prevent the loss of property and the leakage of personal information caused by theft or loss by creating a Hangul password suitable for this situation.
As described above, Hangul ciphers are based on four bytes, such as passwords, the number of characters is reduced to two characters, and the number of possible combinations is increased to 100 million or more, making it easy to remember and greatly increasing the effectiveness of security. It is effective to prevent information leakage in advance.
Hangul password input method follows the Hangul input method supported by the mobile phone, so that the cost of the device or the user does not need to learn separately, the conventional mobile phone can also use the Hangul password immediately after upgrading the program.
Figure 1 shows the number that can be combined for each type of password.
In the present invention, the password input means registering a password at the time of shipment of the mobile phone (including manufacturing and distribution processes), changing a password of the mobile phone, and inputting a password for secret authentication when using a locked function. It includes a step.
And, in order to prevent leakage during password input, certain characters (ex: ※※) are displayed on the screen.
In the mobile phone according to the present invention, the password input system is different depending on the language to be used. That is, when the language to be used is selected as Korean, the Korean password input is designated as a default, and when the language to be used is selected as English, the password input is programmed as the default.
If you change the password type while using a mobile phone, you may have difficulty because the password input system is different. Before you change the password type, make sure you input the password to confirm that it is a legitimate change and then reset the password (for example, password).
When the language to be used is changed, a guide phrase is output to change the initialization contents and the password.
And, it is good to leave a change menu that can be used to change the Korean password or password for users who prefer a password as in the prior art.
The password input system for inputting Korean password follows the Korean input method supported by the mobile phone. However, it is difficult to know whether or not the password is completed because the input stroke of Hangul is flexible. Therefore, after entering the Hangul password, the OK button should be pressed.
If the password of the mobile phone is registered as [national], when the password input system requires password input, if you enter [national] and press the [OK] button, the system recognizes that the password has been entered and checks whether it matches the saved password. .
Since password input uses two-byte characters, Japanese, Chinese characters, and special characters can be used, but Korean password is used as a default for convenience of input.
When entering the password of the mobile phone, the password can only be combined with 10,000 passwords. However, if you change the system to Hangul password, you can combine 100 million or more passwords with 2 characters of Korean characters, 4 bytes like password. You can combine more passwords than characters.
If you need a higher level of security, you can increase the Hangul password to 4 characters (8 bytes) to use a higher level of security that is easier for ordinary people to remember. The number that can be combined for each cipher type is shown in FIG. 1.
When a user decides a password, they tend to set it as easy-to-remember and easy-to-remember characters, so they can guess words that are frequently used by just hitting a few hits, and difficult characters are hard to remember.
Therefore, we list ways to conveniently use difficult characters when determining passwords.
1. Choose the letter you want, such as your name, place name, and words associated with your memories (e.g. people).
2. Change one or more of the initial, neutral, or final ones to another one.
1) In the example above, if you change the initial name to [ㅎ], the password becomes [hooked].
2) In the example above, if you change the neutral to [의], the password becomes [angle].
3) In the word example above, if you change the finality to [ㅇ], the password becomes [Gungming].
3. Replace one or more of the initial, neutral, and final words with your chosen words.
1) In the words of the example above, if you replace the consonants, the password becomes [lost].
2) In the example above, if the neutrals are interchanged, the cipher becomes [Geekmun].
3) In the example above, if you change the finality, the cipher becomes [Gunmic].
