Description

BATTERY ASSEMBLY OF MOBILE TERMINAL

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal, and more particularly to a battery assembly of a mobile terminal having an improved structure to increase the sealing effect of the mobile terminal battery.

In general, a mobile terminal is a terminal that can be used freely while moving regardless of a place. Representative examples thereof include a mobile communication terminal such as a mobile phone and a personal digital assistant (PDA) called a personal portable terminal. Therefore, the term 'mobile terminal' as used herein is a term that includes them all, but for the convenience of description, the following description will be limited to the PDA.

In a complex and diversified society, each individual has a need to store and maintain his or her own information, and various products are currently on the market to meet such individual needs. One of them is PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). PDA, also known as a pocket computer, is a generic term for a palm-sized, small device that has calculation, data storage, and retrieval functions for personal and business purposes, and is often used to maintain schedule calendars and address book information.

In particular, industrial personal digital assistants (PDAs) are currently being used mainly in the logistics industry, and the market is gradually expanding. Industrial PDA is a PDA with a variety of office functions such as barcode scanner and card payment machine which are not found in general PDA. The use of industrial PDA has the advantage of efficient delivery, data management and related tasks. For example, insurers can carry out various insurance-related tasks such as customer information management, customer search, schedule management, counseling logbook management, anniversary search, and invoice processing. In hospitals, medical records, medical history, prescriptions, and image images and graphics such as X-rays can be entered or searched by an industrial PDA carried by medical personnel without time and place restrictions. Of police officers are allowed to pay the traffic law violation penalties that can be paid only 2-3 days after the crackdown. This can dramatically shorten the time.

As can be seen that the industrial PDA is used in the various industrial fields described above, unlike the general PDA, the industrial PDA should have a certain level or more of a requirement that can withstand the industrial environment. In other words, unlike general PDAs, industrial PDAs may be used in freezing warehouses below 10 degrees Celsius and may also be used for a long time outdoors. It must be equipped with impact resistance, water resistance and heat / cooling to be competitive as a product. As such, industrial PDAs must be made more robust and firm than ordinary PDAs, and must be waterproof to resist snow or rain.

On the other hand, such an industrial PDA is provided with a rechargeable battery for supplying power required for the operation of the electronic components embedded in the terminal body, the rechargeable battery is embedded in a battery assembly consisting of a battery case and a battery cover, the battery assembly is a terminal body The battery compartment provided in the rear case of the detachable.

Conventional battery assembly is coupled to the battery case so that the battery cover to cover the upper opening surface of the battery case in the state that the built-in rechargeable battery in the battery case, at this time, the fusion bonding between the battery case and the battery cover do.

However, since the mutual coupling part of the battery case and the battery cover of the industrial PDA is fusion-bonded in the absence of the sealing member, the waterproof and moisture-proof functions of the mutual coupling part of the battery case and the battery cover are weak, so that moisture is prevented from interposing the battery connection area. In addition, foreign matters, etc., may cause serious problems such as battery malfunction and failure.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a battery assembly of a mobile terminal having an improved structure to increase the sealing effect of a mobile terminal battery such as an industrial PDA.

A battery assembly of a mobile terminal according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention for achieving the above object, the battery assembly detachably attached to the mobile terminal body, the battery case is formed on one side is opened to accommodate the rechargeable battery, and the battery The battery cover may be coupled to the battery case so as to cover the open surface of the case, and a sealing member interposed between the battery case and the battery cover to seal the mutual coupling portion of the battery case and the battery cover.

Here, the sealing member is preferably an O-ring.

In addition, the sealing member preferably has a closed loop shape so as to be disposed along the edge coupling portion of the mutually opposite surface of the battery case and the battery cover.

In addition, any one of the battery case and the battery cover is formed with a groove so that the sealing member is inserted along the edge coupling portion.

In addition, the other one of the battery case and the battery cover is formed with a protrusion for pressurizing the sealing member while being fitted to the groove portion along the edge engaging portion.

Specific details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and the drawings.

According to the battery assembly of the mobile terminal according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention as described above, by fusion-bonding each other in a state in which a sealing member such as an O-ring or the like is inserted into the coupling portion of the battery case and the battery cover, Moisture or foreign matters can be prevented from entering into the gap between the bonding regions, and the waterproof and moistureproof effects on the battery of the mobile terminal can be increased.

The effects of the present invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned can be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description of the claims.

The sealing member 150 is interposed between the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130 to seal the mutual coupling portion of the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130. More specifically, the sealing member 150 is inserted into the groove 115 of the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130 is fitted to the groove 115 when the battery cover 130 is fusion-bonded with the battery case 110. Contact by pressure projection 135 of In the present exemplary embodiment, the sealing member 150 is illustrated as an O-ring in a silicon material, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto, and may include all sealings having various cross-sectional and tooth materials.

In addition, the sealing member 150 may have a closed loop shape such as a circle or a quadrangle such that the sealing member 150 is disposed along the edge coupling portion of the opposite surface of the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130.

In the present embodiment, the groove 115 is formed so that the sealing member 150 is inserted into the battery case 110 along the edge coupling portion, and is fitted into the groove 115 along the edge coupling portion of the battery cover 130. Although the configuration in which the protrusion 135 is formed to pressurize the sealing member 150 is illustrated, on the contrary, the groove is formed to insert the sealing member 150 along the edge coupling portion of the battery cover 130, and the battery case ( It is also possible to have a configuration in which a projection is formed in the groove along the edge coupling portion 110 to contact the sealing member 150 under pressure.

According to the battery assembly 100 of the industrial PDA of the present invention configured as described above, a sealing such as an O-ring (O-ring) on the mutual coupling portion of the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130 of the industrial PDA (1) In the state in which the member 150 is inserted, the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130 are fused and joined.

As a result, when the sealing member 150, such as an O-ring, is inserted into the coupling portion of the battery case 110 and the battery cover 130 by mutual fusion bonding, moisture or foreign matters, etc., in the gap between the battery coupling regions. It is possible to prevent the inflow and increase the waterproof and moisture proof effect on the industrial PDA battery.
