Abstract

PURPOSE: A turbo fan is provided to reduce the weight thereof by removing a part of a base and secure stable coupling with a motor through a hub including a protrusion and a hub shaft. CONSTITUTION: A weight-reduced turbo fan comprises a base(1) which is coupled to the rotary shaft of a motor and rotary blades(4) which are arranged at regular intervals along the circumference of the base in order to guide cold air drawn into the central portion of the base in a radial direction. A part of the base is removed to reduce weight. A hub(2) is formed in the center of the base to be coupled with the rotary shaft of the motor. The hub comprises a protrusion which is formed in the center of the base, where the height of the protrusion increases toward the center of the base, and a hub shaft which is formed on the inner side of the protrusion and coupled with the rotary shaft of the motor.
