PURPOSE: An apparatus for switching power of a liquid crystal display is provided to prevent an overcurrent in malfunction by arranging a pull down voltage division unit in the input terminal of a pull down transfer unit. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for switching power of a liquid crystal display, a pull-up transfer unit(210) is activated by a pull-up control signal. The pull-up transfer unit transfers a direct current voltage to an output terminal. The pull down transfer unit(220) is activated by the pull-down control signal. The pull down transfer unit transfers a ground voltage to an output terminal. A pull down voltage division unit(230) suppress the increase of the input voltage of the pull down transfer unit.
