Description
Disclosed are a content providing system and method for selecting multimedia data transmitted from a user terminal in real time or based on predetermined criteria and transmitting the same through a plurality of transmission media.
With the spread of portable terminals, the distribution of contents produced by users is increasing. There is no distinction between existing content providers and content users, and any user of a mobile terminal can widely distribute user created contents (UCC).
Recently, due to the development of wireless communication network technology, the bandwidth of a data network capable of providing a multimedia service to a mobile terminal has increased significantly. Accordingly, the user can upload high quality multimedia data through his mobile terminal, and can watch high quality multimedia data uploaded by others in real time on the mobile terminal. As a result, hundreds of thousands of user-generated contents are distributed on YouTube ( http://www.youtube.com ), and the types and ranges of such user-generated contents continue to expand.
As such, interest in user-generated content is increasing, but it is not easy to distribute such user-generated content through various transmission media such as airwaves, IPTV, cable TV, and wired / wireless communication networks. In other words, various transmission media providers only provide unidirectionally produced contents to viewers with their broadcasting schedules, and a service model that utilizes user generated contents in both directions has not been presented.
Broadcast has continued to evolve with ENG (Electronic News Gathering) cameras and Satellite News Gathering (SNG). In this specification, beyond the broadcaster-oriented content creation and distribution, a new concept of mobile news gathering (MNG) is proposed.
It is possible to provide various multimedia data transmitted from a user terminal through various transmission media in real time, and to provide a content providing system and method for solving various problems that may occur in real time transmission.
Contents providing system according to an aspect of the present invention, the content collection unit for receiving the multimedia data input from the user terminal, and stores the received multimedia data; A content manager configured to analyze the metadata of the multimedia data to classify and manage the multimedia data according to a predefined category, and to analyze whether the multimedia data corresponds to a selected criterion; A content transcoding unit performing a format conversion to transmit the multimedia data to one or more transmission media; And a transmission control unit which controls to transmit the converted multimedia data through the transmission media.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a content providing method comprising: receiving multimedia data input from a user terminal and storing the received multimedia data; Maintaining a user information database storing identifier information of the user corresponding to the user terminal and reliability information of the user; Analyzing and analyzing the metadata of the multimedia data to classify and manage the multimedia data according to a predefined category; Parsing the multimedia data and if the multimedia data corresponds to a predetermined criterion, replacing the multimedia data with previously stored substitute content; Performing a format conversion to transmit the multimedia data to one or more transmission media; And controlling to transmit the converted multimedia data through the transmission media, and controlling the transmission priority according to the reliability information by referring to the user information database.
Provided are a content providing system and method for providing various multimedia data transmitted from a user terminal through various transmission media in real time.
In particular, a content providing system and method for providing real-time advertisement data or news data produced by a user through various transmission media are provided.
Hereinafter, a content providing system and a content providing method utilizing the system will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
MNG (Mobile News Gathering) described in the present specification is a variety of multimedia data production tools owned by a user, for example, content already possessed by using a mobile terminal such as a user computer, an imaging device such as a camcorder, or a mobile phone. Or a real time content to a content providing system according to an embodiment of the present invention, and processing the transmitted multimedia data through one or more transmission media. The multimedia data may be any kind of data requiring real-time or liveliness such as advertisement data and news data.

The content parsing unit 214 illustrated in FIG. 2 parses the input multimedia data and monitors whether the content corresponds to a selected criterion. The selected criteria include (1) parsing a speech or audio signal included in the multimedia data to determine whether a speech or audio signal corresponding to a banned word is included, and (2) parsing the video signal to produce a video of a specific color or specific shape. It may include whether the signal is included, and (3) criteria set by the operator because it is difficult to broadcast due to other social ideas. The content parsing unit 214 parses the multimedia data and, in the case of the multimedia data corresponding to the above-mentioned predetermined criteria, controls the

The embodiment shown in FIG. 6 enables user-oriented real-time advertising, which has been difficult to implement since the "sinalco" CF in 1956, under the regulation of advertising data called preliminary review. Since the unconstitutional decision on advertisement preliminary deliberation in 2008, post-deliberation is possible for broadcast advertisement, and real-time user-centered advertisement production can be implemented through the embodiment shown in FIG. 6. These real-time advertisements are actors or performers to advertise the product of a particular advertiser for 10-15 to 20-30 seconds in a real-time environment. This can maximize the timeliness of a particular advertisement.
7 is a flowchart illustrating a method of monitoring multimedia data according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The multimedia data monitoring method illustrated in FIG. 7 is to solve a problem that may occur when multimedia data transmitted from a user terminal is transmitted through various transmission media in real time.
The content manager of the content providing system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include a content parser for multimedia data parsing.
The content parsing unit may include a monitoring database, in which a banned word list, video signal pattern information, and the like are recorded in the database (701). The content parsing unit parses the input multimedia data and monitors whether the corresponding multimedia data corresponds to a predetermined criterion recorded in the monitoring database (702). As described above, as an example of the selected criterion, (1) parsing a voice or audio signal included in the corresponding multimedia data to determine whether a voice or audio signal corresponding to a banned word is included, and (2) parsing a video signal. It may include whether a video signal of a specific color or a certain shape is included, and (3) criteria set by an operator because it is difficult to be broadcast based on other social ideas. Parse the multimedia data to determine whether the multimedia data corresponds to the selected criteria (703), if the determination does not meet the selected criteria, transcoding the corresponding multimedia data (704), one or more transmissions Control to be sent through the media (705). As a result of the determination in
The multimedia data monitoring method illustrated in FIG. 7 may prevent accidents that may occur in the case of real-time advertisement data or news data. The multimedia data monitoring method may be implemented by buffering multimedia data transmitted in real time for a predetermined time interval and parsing an input bitstream.
Content providing method according to an aspect of the present invention may be implemented in the form of program instructions that can be executed by various computer means may be recorded on a computer readable medium. The computer readable medium may include program instructions, data files, data structures, etc. alone or in combination. Program instructions recorded on the media may be those specially designed and constructed for the purposes of the present invention, or they may be of the kind well-known and available to those having skill in the computer software arts. Examples of computer-readable recording media include magnetic media such as hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tape, optical media such as CD-ROMs, DVDs, and magnetic disks, such as floppy disks. Magneto-optical media, and hardware devices specifically configured to store and execute program instructions, such as ROM, RAM, flash memory, and the like. Examples of program instructions include not only machine code generated by a compiler, but also high-level language code that can be executed by a computer using an interpreter or the like. The hardware device described above may be configured to operate as one or more software modules to perform the operations of the present invention, and vice versa.
As described above, the present invention has been described by way of limited embodiments and drawings, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains various modifications and variations from such descriptions. This is possible.
Therefore, the scope of the present invention should not be limited to the described embodiments, but should be determined not only by the claims below but also by the equivalents of the claims.
