일반적으로 손톱깍기나 열쇠용 악세사리 등에는 휴대나 다른 물품을 걸 수 있도록 하는 걸고리가 장착되어 있는 것이고 이러한 걸고리가 형성된 물품의 진열을 위하여는 물품의 고정을 위한 고정홈이 중앙에 형성되고 상측으로 상품진열대에 형성된 걸이구에 걸려지도록 걸이홈이 형성된 전시대를 사용하여 상품진열을 하도록 하고 있는 것이다.
그러나 이러한 것은 전시대에 물품을 고정하는 고정홈은 형성되어 있으면서 물품에 장착된 걸고리의 고정수단은 없어 걸고리가 항상 물품의 일부를 가리도록 진열되어 있어 상품진열의 효과를 떨어뜨리게 되는 문제가 있으며 이로 인해 상품판매에도 영향을 미치게 되는 것이었다.
