웰빙 시대를 맞이하여 새로 지어진 각종 건축물내의 실내 공기에 상당한 양의 휘발성 유기화합물이 발생하여 인체에 나쁜 영향을 미치고 있는 것이 매스컴에 보도되고, 문제시 되어 있다. 이러한 문제 때문에 실내 벽면에 광촉매인 산화티타늄을 함유하는 페인트를 칠하는 등의 수요가 증대되고 있지만 그 효과는 미미하다. 왜냐하면 광촉매 작용은 자외선의 짧은 파장의 영역에서만 일어나지만 실내에는 자외선이 들어오지 않기 때문이다. 오존 발생기와 휠터를 이용하는 종래의 공기 정화기는 공기 중의 먼지를 포집 제거하는 기능을 가지고 있으나 오존의 유해성에 노출되는 위험이 따른다. 종래의 유사한 기능을 갖는 제품에는 먼지 제거, 공기 정화 및 살균 기능과 원적외선 발산 및 가습기 기능을 동시에 갖는 전기기구는 찾아 볼 수 없었다.In the age of well-being, a large amount of volatile organic compounds are generated in indoor air in various buildings newly built and adversely affecting the human body. 실내의 공기 중 휘발성 유기화합물을 분해 제거하고 황사 등 먼지를 제거하여 깨끗하게 만들어 주기 위한 방안의 하나로서 본 발명에서는 황토관 내부에 공기 강제 순환 모터 팬과 전기 발열체를 장착하여 발열체 표면에서 순환되는 공기 중의 유해물 및 세균을 태워서 분해 제거되도록 꾀하였다. 이 효과는 기존의 오존발생 공기정화기가 국소적인 것에 비하여 훨씬 크다. 한편, 원적외선은 눈에 보이지는 않지만 생물에게 따듯한 느낌과 활력을 주는 열선의 일종으로 전이금속 산화물 및 규산에서 많이 발산되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 이들을 주성분으로 하는 물질을 황토관 외부에 피복시켜 원적외선 발산을 꾀하였다. 원적외선 발생량은 스테판-볼츠만 식에 의하여 온도의 4승에 비례하므로 황토관의 전기발열체가 가열되면 위 에 설명한 공기 정화기능 및 원적외선 발산 효과는 증진될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 실타래가 모세관 현상으로 물을 흡수하여 증발시키는 작용이 있음을 이용하여 황토관 바닥에 물을 담은 용기(수반)를 설치하고 여기에 실타래 구조물을 접촉시켜 물에 젖게 하면 강제 순환되는 공기가 이곳을 지날 때 공기 중의 먼지를 흡착 제거하고 수분의 일부는 증발하여 가습기 기능이 있도록 하였다.As one of the methods for decomposing and removing volatile organic compounds in indoor air and removing dust such as yellow dust, the present invention provides an air forced circulation motor fan and an electric heating element inside an ocher pipe to circulate on the heating element surface.
