Abstract

PURPOSE: A menu setting device and a method thereof is provided to form a point to a TV screen, calculate a location of the point and set a menu corresponding to the location of the point, thereby easily setting the menu. CONSTITUTION: A remote controller(100) transmits a control command and outputs a laser to display a point on a display panel. A capturing unit(220) captures a screen of the display panel in which the point is displayed to output image data. If a menu setting mode entering command is inputted from the remote controller, a menu setting device displays a reference point on the screen of the display panel and calculates a location of the point using a reference point of the image data captured from the capturing unit. If a menu setting command is inputted from the remote controller, the menu setting device sets a menu corresponding to the location of the point.
