Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a polyester-based bristles and a method of manufacturing the same.
Commonly used monofilament for toothbrush is manufactured from nylon. Monofilament made of nylon has the advantage of moderate elasticity and flexibility, but it is absorbed quickly, so it is quickly rubbed and maintains a constant elasticity. In order to prevent the gums from being damaged, the tip of the brush head can be mechanically rounded, and the tip can be processed into a tapered shape like a needle. Because of this, the filament cannot reach deep into the gums, which makes it difficult to remove food debris and tartar.
On the other hand, it can be used as a monofilament for toothbrush besides nylon, and polyester type compounds, such as PBT and PET, are mentioned.
Such PBT or PET is cheaper than nylon, durable, and absorbent, making it more suitable as a bristle material than nylon. However, since it has a strong strength and elasticity and is less flexible, toothbrush bristles may damage the gums. It was a common practice to use it as an inexpensive toothbrush or to mix it with nylon for cost reduction.
In order to make use of the advantages of the PBT or PET monofilament and to supplement the disadvantages listed above, a method of tapering the end of the monofilament may be used.
As a method of tapering the polyester-based bristles, a mechanical processing method and a chemical processing method are known.
First, the mechanical processing method is a method of tapering the tip of the bristles by using a blade or a polishing machine, and there is a limitation in processing, so that a taper length cannot be made long.
In addition, the processing method using a chemical uses the principle that a part of the fiber is dissolved by immersing the polyester-based fiber in a heated caustic soda solution.
In the processing method using the same principle, after cutting the bundle of polyester series to the required length, soak the bundle about 5mm vertically in a caustic soda solution of 20% concentration and 100 ℃ or higher, and then dissolve (hydrolyze) the tip. The method of tapering the tape was introduced in Japanese Laid-Open Laboratory No. 50-40195, and in Korean Patent No. 10-0130932, a monofilament for toothbrushes in which a bristle bundle was dissolved in sulfuric acid at 80-90% concentration and 80-200 ° C temperature was tapered. Taper processing method was introduced.
When the bristles are tapered by the method using the chemicals as described above, it is possible to stably obtain a taper in the range of 1 mm-10 mm.
However, the bristles processed by the method as described above has the advantage that the tip portion has a tapered shape, such as a needle, to reach deep into the gums when brushing and easily remove food debris and tartar, etc. Because of the injuries to the gums, or easily penetrated between the gums and teeth there was a problem causing inflammation.
In addition, since the tapered end may be easily bent or deformed during use, there is a problem that the bristle bundle is opened, which causes a problem of extremely short service life of the toothbrush.
The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art, to provide a rounded tapered end of the toothbrush for the rounded end treatment to prevent the gums from being damaged when brushing the rounded end to provide a method and a manufacturing method thereof. There is a purpose.
The present invention is characterized in that in the bristles for a toothbrush using a polyester-based resin, a tapered portion is formed in a range of 1/2 to 1/4 of the entire length of the bristle, and the end of the tapered portion is cut to form a round portion.
At this time, the toothbrush is preferably made of PBT material.
Toothbrush simulation method of the tapered end of the present invention is round,
a) forming a tapered portion by immersing the end of a circular columnar PBT yarn in a chemical; b) cutting the end of the tapered portion a predetermined length; And c) round processing the cut surface of the tapered portion.
Here, the drug may be an organic solvent and an inorganic solvent, and as the organic solvent, heated m-cresol, trifluoroacetic acid, o-chlorophenol, Trichlorophenol (phenol), phenol (phenol), tetrachloroethane (Tetrachloroethane) and any one selected from a mixture of phenol may be used.
As the inorganic solvent, strong alkali and strong acid may be used, and as the strong alkali, any one selected from sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide may be used, and as the strong acid, Sulfuric acid may be used.
In addition, the drug may be further added to the decomposition accelerator.
And, the step c) may be round processing by immersing the cutting surface in the chemical, or round processing by grinding the cutting surface in the polishing machine, or round processing by heating the cutting surface in the heating apparatus.
The present invention can produce a toothbrush with a tapered end of the rounded toothbrush prepared by the above-described method, the toothbrush is a toothbrush for which the tapered end is rounded, and the hair length is shorter than the hair length, the end is rounded It is also possible to have the round pillars planted together.
The present invention has the effect that the tapered end is rounded, thereby preventing gums from being damaged when brushing teeth.
The present invention has the effect of prolonging the service life of the bristles by minimizing the bending or opening of the tapered end.
Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings for a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

Here, the polyester resin is a general term for the polymer material having ester bond -CO-O- in the main chain, and the polyester resin mainly used as the material of the bristles is used by polyethylene terephtalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). The bristle of the present invention may be manufactured using PBT.
Figure 3 is a flow chart illustrating a simulated toothbrush manufacturing process according to the present invention, the present invention as shown in the figure is immersed in a chemically supplied PBT yarn manufactured in a circular column shape as shown in Figure 3 (a) After letting go. By dissolving only the immersed portion, the conical
In this case, an organic solvent and an inorganic solvent may be used as a drug to taper the PBT yarn. First, organic solvents include heated m-cresol, trifluoroacetic acid, o-chlorophenol, trichlorophenol, phenol, tetrachloroethane (Tetrachloroethane) and a mixture of phenol can be used.
Next, inorganic solvents include strong alkalis and strong acids, and strong alkalis include sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and the like, and sulfuric acid may be used as a strong acid.
As described above, the drug may be used by diluting the stock solution with an appropriate ratio of water, and heating the drug to an appropriate temperature (100 to 150 ° C.), so that the chemical reaction in the dissolution process may be performed more quickly and stably.
Of course, to the drug may be further added to the decomposition accelerator for inducing decomposition acceleration.

In this case, as the drug to dissolve the cut surface, an organic solvent and an inorganic solvent as mentioned above may be used.
In addition, as a heating device for melting the cut surface, it is preferable to use a heating device that generates heat more uniformly and stably than a method of directly using a flame.
At this time, the heating temperature of the heating device is preferably maintained at 200 ~ 300 ℃ in consideration of the melting temperature of the PBT.
