A side trimmer knife is provided to have the optimum knife clearance and blade curvature, to improve the durability and trimming quality of a side trimmer knife, and to increase the service life by reducing the stress applied on upper and lower knife blades. A side trimmer knife for cutting a steel plate comprises an upper knife(10) located on the upper part of the steel plate and formed in the shape of a disk, and a lower knife(20) having an axis parallel to an axis of the upper knife, formed in the shape of a disk and located on the lower part of the steel plate, wherein the facing sides of the upper knife and the lower knife have a clearance(C) of 10~20% of the thickness(D) of the steel plate, and the edge curvature(R) of the circumferential surface of the upper knife and the lower knife is 0~0.07mm.
