Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical network system for broadband wireless service.
The present invention is derived from the research conducted as part of the IT growth engine core technology development project of the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunication Research and Development. [Task Management Number: 2007-S-014-01, Title: Metro-Access All-optical Integrated Network] Technology development].
With the development of wireless transmission technology, the transmission speed of wireless data is increasing. Currently, High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) supports 2 Mbps and 14.4 Mbps, respectively, upward and downward, and WiBro supports 6 Mbps and 19.97 Mbps, respectively, and WiBro-Evo, which is expected to emerge in the near future, has 50 upward and downward, respectively. Mbps will be supported.
As the amount of data transmission processed by the wireless terminals increases as described above, it is necessary to upgrade the wired transmission network. As a feature of wireless technology that supports large-capacity wireless data such as WiBro, downlink data is transmitted to a plurality of access points (APs) in a broadcast manner and wirelessly transmitted to subscriber stations, from a plurality of subscriber stations. Uplink data transmitted over the air is first concentrated at the AP, and each access point transmits the data to the center by wire.
Conventionally, the center and the AP are connected in a point-to-point form. Thus, the point-to-point connection between the center and the AP causes a lot of fiber requirements, especially when the APs are geographically close together.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a WDM-based optical network system that efficiently connects one center and multiple APs.
An optical network system and an optical line terminal (OLT) and at least one optical network unit (ONU) according to the present invention for achieving the above object, the downlink data transmission from the OLT to the at least one ONU is A broadcast is performed by one light source positioned in the OLT, and each of the at least one ONU transmits data to the OLT through a designated optical wavelength.
According to the present invention, data transfer from one center to multiple wireless access points is performed in a broadcast form by one light source, and each wireless access point transmits data to the center through a given optical wavelength. The uplink data transmission uses DWDM to reduce the fiber between the center and the access points. The optical transmission and reception device applied to each wireless access point operates regardless of the wavelength. A WDM-based optical network is constructed that efficiently connects one center to multiple wireless access points.
도 1을 참조하면, 본 광 네트워크 시스템은, OLT(200), RN(300), 및 복수의 ONU(400-1 ~ 400-N)을 포함한다.1 is a conceptual diagram of an optical network system proposed in the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, the optical network system includes an

Detailed operation of the OLT 200 is as follows.
Figure 2 shows the spectrum of the seed light source module output light in the optical network system according to the present invention.
2 (a) shows a wavelength multiplexed wavelength having a wide spectral width without polarization. In addition, (b) of FIG. 2 shows a wavelength multiplexed wavelength having a narrow spectral width with polarization.
Figure 3 shows an example of the wavelength used in the optical network system according to the present invention. 4 is a structure similar to FIG. 1. The difference is that RSOA is used for the
5 is similar to FIG. 4. However, the feeder section between the

Most are similar to figure (a). The other is an
FIG. 7 is a structure similar to FIG. 6. The difference is that the feeder section consists of two separate fibers. Therefore, the

FIG. 10 is a structure similar to FIG. 9. The difference is that it is not in the form of an RN whose wavelength diverges at one point, but rather in the form of an RN whose wavelength is diverged at several points. That is, the first RN 300-1 inserts / extracts an optical signal from the
