Abstract

An automatic dimming liquid crystal display for protection of eyesight is provided to protect the eyesight of a user by automatically controlling the illuminance of the backlight unit of the LCD panel. A sensor for detecting light level determines the quantity of light. A sensor for detecting light level is installed at the outside upper end of a monitor. According to the sensor value which an amplifier is outputted in the sensor for detecting light level, the extent of output is determined and the brightness of the backlight unit is controlled. An MCU circuit controls the received quantity of light. The ON/OFF function is added in the monitor operation UI so that the user use in case the automatic control apparatus of the user is unnecessary.

Hereinafter, a configuration of an automatic brightness control LCD monitor according to the present invention and a structure of a monitor and an apparatus used in the system will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 is a block diagram of an LCD monitor automatic brightness control device according to an embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 1, a light amount sensor capable of determining a light amount is mounted on an external upper end of the monitor, and connected to an MCU circuit for controlling an output value according to a sensor value output from the light amount sensor.

2 is a block diagram showing a service providing process required by a user in the LCD monitor automatic brightness control device according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Add an on / off function to the monitor-operated user interface for optional use by users if they do not require automatic controls.

The present invention is an automatic brightness control system that enables the protection of eyesight by determining the amount of light received from the light receiving unit using the light amount sensor to output the illumination suitable to the surrounding environment.

In the conventional monitor, the user directly adjusts the brightness through various switches mounted on the monitor and causes frequent inconveniences due to changes in the surrounding environment.

However, the present invention can automatically adjust the brightness without inconvenience. For example, when the ambient light is low, if the monitor light is relatively high, it may cause eye diseases such as eye fatigue or tearing, but the present invention outputs the optimal brightness between the ambient light and the user. Relieves fatigue and protects eyesight.

The present invention is to overcome the problems of the prior art, the main object is to automatically adjust the brightness of the backlight unit of the LCD panel according to the brightness conditions of the surrounding environment to automatically protect the user's eyesight brightness of the LCD monitor

To provide an adjusting device.

The present invention calculates the amount of light using the light amount sensor to automatically adjust the screen brightness in the MCU.

Low ambient light may cause eye diseases such as eye fatigue or tears when the monitor's light intensity is relatively high, but this invention reduces eye strain because it outputs the optimal brightness between ambient light and the user. Enable vision protection.
