A portable digital apparatus for converting electric signal into voice signal is provided to position a speaker on a mounting part formed in a rear of a body without exposing a speaker grill to the exterior of the body. The present invention relates to a portable digital device, and more particularly, to a portable digital device for converting an electrical signal into a voice signal.

With the recent development of multimedia technology, the demand for devices for reproducing them also increases. In addition, in order to easily utilize and enjoy various contents, recently, devices that can reproduce and utilize such multimedia data anytime, anywhere while storing and carrying various multimedia data have been introduced.

So-called Portable Multimedia Players (PMPs), which are capable of playing not only audio data such as MP3 (MP3) but also video data such as AVI and MPG, It is equipped with a high capacity storage device and is a portable digital device with high utilization as a portable storage device.

Such portable digital devices generally output their voices to the outside using earphones. Recently, products using speakers mounted inside the device are being introduced in parallel with the earphones.

As shown in this figure, the case 1 constituting the external appearance of the portable digital device has a substantially hexahedral shape. The front surface of the case 1 is provided with a display portion 3 of a substantially rectangular shape. The display unit 3 is configured by a liquid crystal panel or the like provided inside the case 1, and part of the display unit 3 is transparent so that the contents displayed on the liquid crystal panel are visible on the front surface of the case 1. The display unit 3 displays an operation state of the portable digital device or an image according to the execution of the multimedia file.

One side of the case 1 is provided with a speaker (5). The speaker 5 serves to output the sound of the music or video being played to the outside. Therefore, even when the user loses a separate voice output device such as an earphone, voice data can be output through the speaker 5.

The portable digital apparatus according to the related art having such a configuration is provided with an input unit (not shown) for operating the apparatus, such as a button array or a touch screen. The user may control the operation of the device by operating the input unit. In this case, the display unit 3 displays a screen according to the result of the processing of the image data, and audio is output to the speaker 5.

However, there are the following problems in the portable digital apparatus according to the prior art as described above.

First, in the prior art, the speaker 5 is provided at the front of the case 1 to smoothly transmit the output voice to the user. However, the speaker 5 has a problem that damages the appearance of the product.

In addition, in the use of such a portable digital device according to the prior art, while carrying, while carrying simply through a pocket or the like to watch terrestrial DMB (DMB) and the like, there is a problem that is not easy to mount.

The present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, an object of the present invention is to prevent the speaker grill is exposed to the outside in a portable digital device.

According to the present invention, when the portable digital device is not used, the speaker is placed on a seating portion formed on the rear surface of the main body so that the speaker grill is not exposed to the outside of the main body. The base plate 36 is provided with a voice unit 38. The speech unit 38 is a part for converting an electrical signal into a voice signal.
