Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and system for efficiently providing an advertisement service according to a user's viewing pattern without using a feedback channel in a streaming environment such as satellite broadcasting, IP broadcasting, cable broadcasting, and terrestrial broadcasting. The system of the present invention includes a broadcasting center for broadcasting an advertisement or a tag-containing content through a broadcasting medium, a set-top box for decoding the advertisement or content received through the broadcasting medium and outputting the same to the display apparatus; And receiving and storing the viewing information and the advertisement from the set top box, and determining the preference according to the viewing pattern for each user, and providing the selected advertisement to the set top box. According to the present invention, a tag indicating an attribute is added to the advertisement data and the content data, and then broadcast through a broadcasting medium, the tag is analyzed in the set-top box of the user side, and the viewer's viewing information is selected according to the user's viewing pattern or preference. By providing an advertisement, it is possible to provide an efficient advertisement service according to a user's viewing pattern without using a feedback channel in a streaming environment.
Description
The present invention relates to a method and system for providing an advertisement service according to a user's viewing pattern, and more particularly, to viewing a user without using a feedback channel in a streaming environment such as satellite broadcasting, IP broadcasting, cable broadcasting, and terrestrial broadcasting. The present invention relates to a method and system for efficiently providing an advertisement service according to a pattern.
Conventional television and radio broadcasts can be unidirectionally serviced due to the characteristics of the media, so that no information of the other party using the service can be used for service efficiency. Therefore, the conventional advertising service on television or radio broadcasting is a one-way service for an unspecified majority, and the subject using the service has also caused a waste of radio waves by constantly watching advertisements irrelevant to his or her interest for a certain time. .
On the other hand, cable broadcasting and IPTV broadcasting, which have recently been widely used, have a feedback panel directed from the viewer to the broadcasting server separately from the broadcasting channel from the broadcasting server to the set-top box, thereby enabling two-way communication and thus interactive broadcasting.
