Abstract

A food composition for the alleviation of hangover is provided to promote alcohol metabolism by using natural food additives such as the extract of fermented rice germ/soybean. A food composition for the alleviation of hangover comprises: 350mg of the extract of fermented rice germ/soybean, 200mg of L-asparagine, 600mg of taurine, 600mg of succinic acid, 600mg of vitamin C, 200mg of L-glutamine, 900mg of dextrose, and 50mg of lemon flavoring. The extract of fermented rice germ/soybean, L-asparagine, and succinic acid promote alcohol metabolism. The taurine protects liver function, and the vitamin C, L-glutamine, and dextrose increase an alcohol degrading rate.
