Abstract

A method for controlling a computer remotely by using a portable storage device is provided to improve security largely by enabling a control computer to control other computers with a remote control program stored in the portable storage device, and leaving no information related to remote control in the control computer when the portable storage device is removed. A portable storage device(10) including a remote control program and an OS(Operating System) is connected to a control computer(20). The control computer connects with a controlled computer(30) through RDP(Remote Desktop Protocol) by operating the remote control program and the OS stored in the portable storage device when the portable storage device is selected in the control computer. The remote control program and the OS stored in the portable storage device are terminated when a task is completed. The portable storage device is removed from the control computer. The portable storage device is a USB(Universal Serial Bus) memory and the OS is implemented by using a Linux kernel. The portable storage device includes a minimum kernel and a boot loader loading the kernel on a memory to execute only the remote control program.
