Abstract

An apparatus and a method for transmitting vehicle diagnosis information are provided to reduce the cost of installation by providing vehicle diagnosis information through the radio of a vehicle, without the necessity of adding a special display unit. An apparatus for transmitting vehicle diagnosis information comprises a vehicle diagnosis module(110), a radio frequency transmitting part(120) and a voice storage part(130). The vehicle diagnosis module(110), connected with the ECU(Electronic Control Unit) of a vehicle through an OBD terminal, collects the state information of various parts from the ECU, and confirms various abnormal states of the vehicle, based on the collected state information. The radio frequency transmitting part(120) transmits the confirmed abnormal states for the whole range of the Rx frequencies of a radio(140) installed in the vehicle. The voice storage part(130) stores voice information for various abnormal states. The radio frequency transmitting part(120) extracts voice information for the confirmed abnormal states from the voice storage part(130) and transmits the extracted voice information.
