A book editing system includes the text(1) of a book, and a supplement column(2) which is formed at the right or left side of the text. The supplement column comprises explanations(3) of the terms hard to understand in the text, main points(4), and contents(5) related to the text. Each content of the supplement column is written in the same line as the related content in the text.
