The present invention relates to a motor for electric power steering (hereinafter referred to as "EPS").

The vehicle is provided with an ECU (Electric Control Unit) for receiving electrical signals detected by various input sensors and outputting digital control signals for driving various actuators on the output side. In addition, the EPS motor receives a signal from the ECU and assists the driver's steering wheel manipulation force so that the driver can steer lightly and quickly.

A conventional EPS motor will be described with reference to FIG. 1. 1 is a partially cutaway perspective view of a conventional electric power steering motor.

As shown, a housing 11 having an open top surface and a bracket 15 coupled to the top surface of the housing are provided. Bearings 12 and 16 are fixed to the bottom of the housing 11 and the bracket 15, respectively, and the rotating shafts 21 are supported to the bearings 12 and 16 so as to be rotatable. The upper end side of the rotating shaft 21 is exposed to the upper side of the bracket 15 is coupled to the steering shaft (not shown).

The core 23 is coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 21, the magnet 25 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the core 23, and the coil 30 is fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the housing 11. Thus, the steering shaft is rotated while the rotating shaft 21 rotates by the action of the coil 30 and the magnet 25.

The back yoke 41 is fixed to the portion of the rotating shaft 21 inside the bracket 15, and the magnet 43 is fixed to the bottom of the back yoke 41. The PCB 43 is fixed to the bracket 15 by being spaced apart from the magnet 43 by a predetermined distance. A sensor (not shown) is installed on the PCB, and the sensor detects the magnet 43 to measure the rotation angle of the rotating shaft 21.

Since the motor for EPS is installed and used in a vehicle, it should have the characteristics of compact and high power. In addition, since a large load is applied when the vehicle is stopped, a high current is applied to the coil.

However, since the conventional EPS motor has no suitable means for dissipating heat generated from the coil 30 to the outside, the temperature inside the housing 11 increases. Due to this, there is a disadvantage that the coil 30 is deteriorated and the magnet 25 is demagnetized and the output is lowered.

The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, the object of the present invention is to provide a motor for EPS that can solve the problem of the output reduction by the internal heat.

EPS motor according to the present invention for achieving the above object, the upper surface is open housing; A rotating shaft rotatably installed in the housing and connected to a steering shaft; A core fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft; A first magnet fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the core; A coil fixed to the housing in a form surrounding the first magnet; A bracket coupled to an upper surface of the housing; A back yoke fixed to a portion of the rotation shaft inside the bracket and rotating the same as the rotation shaft; A second magnet coupled to a bottom surface of the back yoke to transmit a rotation angle of the rotation shaft to the ECU of the vehicle; And a means formed in the bracket and the back yoke to dissipate heat inside the housing to the outside.

Hereinafter, an EPS motor according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

2 is a partially cutaway perspective view of the motor for electric power steering according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the back yoke and the bracket shown in FIG. 2.

As shown, the motor 100 for Electric Power Steering (hereinafter, referred to as "EPS") according to the present embodiment has a housing 110 having an open top surface, and is provided on the top surface of the housing 110. The bracket 120 for sealing the inside of the housing 110 is coupled.

Bearings 115 and 125 are respectively fixed to the central portion of the bottom surface of the housing 110 and corresponding brackets 120, and the rotating shafts 130 are supported to the bearings 115 and 125 so as to be rotatably installed. At this time, the upper end side of the rotating shaft 130 is protruded to the upper side of the bracket 120 is connected to the steering shaft (not shown) of the vehicle.

The core 141 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotation shaft 130, and the first magnet 145 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the core 141. The coil 150 is installed on the inner circumferential surface of the housing 110 to surround the first magnet 145. Thus, the first magnet 145 is rotated by the action of the magnetic field generated in the first magnet 145 and the electric field generated in the coil 150, thereby rotating the steering shaft while the rotary shaft 130 rotates. Let's do it.

The back yoke 161 is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft 130 located inside the bracket 120, and the second magnet 165 is fixed to the bottom of the back yoke 161, wherein the back yoke 161 and the second The magnet 165 rotates in the same manner as the rotation shaft 130. In addition, a printed circuit board (PCB) (not shown) is fixed to the bracket 120 below the second magnet 165. The PCB is provided with a sensor (not shown) that detects a position of the second magnet 165 and transmits the detected position to the ECU (Electric Control Unit) of the vehicle. That is, the rotation angle of the rotation shaft 130 is controlled by the rotation angle of the second magnet 165 detected by the sensor.

In order to steer in a state where a large load is applied, such as when the vehicle is stopped, a high current must be applied to the coil 150. When a high current is applied to the coil 150, a lot of heat is generated, and the EPS motor according to the present embodiment is provided with means for dissipating heat inside the housing 110 to the outside.

In detail, the means is provided with a plurality of holes 127 formed on the upper surface of the bracket 120 and a plurality of grooves 161a formed on the bottom surface of the back yoke 161. When the rotating shaft 130 rotates by the action of the first magnet 145 and the coil 150, the back yoke 161 also rotates. When the back yoke 161 rotates, air is circulated by the groove 161a formed at the bottom of the back yoke 161, so that the air inside the housing 110 is discharged through the through hole 127 of the bracket 120. Air outside the housing 110 is introduced into the inside through the through hole 127. That is, since air enters and exits through the through hole 127, heat inside the housing 110 is released.

As described above, since the air inside the housing circulates due to the groove formed in the back yoke rotating in the same manner as the rotating shaft, the EPS motor according to the present invention is discharged through the hole in the bracket and the outside of the housing Air enters the inside of the housing through the through hole. That is, since heat inside the housing is released, deterioration of the coil and demagnetization of the magnet are prevented. Therefore, output reduction by internal heat generation is prevented and output is improved.

In the above, the present invention has been described in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, but those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains have been changed and modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Of course.
