Abstract

A one-chip tuner module is provided to reduce the space occupied by a tuner module in a set by integrating an MPEG decoder with the tuner module and achieve multiple functions of the tuner module. A one-chip tuner module includes a tuner(100), a demodulator(200), and an MPEG decoder(300). The tuner is connected to an antenna(1) and receives a broadcasting signal. The demodulator demodulates the received broadcasting signal and outputs video data and audio data. The MPEG decoder decodes the video data and the audio data output from the demodulator into a video signal to be displayed as an image on a monitor and an audio signal to be output as a sound through a speaker. The tuner, the demodulator and the MPEG decoder are integrated into one chip.
