A Z-wave based home gateway, a healthcare system for an advanced age, and a configuration method thereof are provided to be mounted with a Z-wave protocol stack for enabling development of the gateway to confirm location information in accordance with precedence by an API(Application Program Interface) and transfer the information to access an LAN(Local Area Network), thereby receiving an address to interface the address with RF(Radio Frequency) media. A healthcare server is connected to a circumstance notification terminal and a mobile communication network through wire/wireless networks. A gateway, a bracelet, an various home appliance switches are operated via the Internet. A Z-wave protocol stack(90) is connected by a device interface(99) by comprising a Z-wave unit(98) connected to an RF media unit(97), an information communication network address(96), a transfer unit(95), and a routing unit(94) via an API(93) and a stack supplementary device. The Z-wave protocol stack(90) delivers an emergency in real time.
