Abstract

A wall mount display device having an IR(InfraRed) user interface and an operation method thereof are provided to enable a user to naturally interact with the display device through a body such as a hand and a finger placed to a front side of the display device by using an IR LED(Light Emitting Diode) and a camera equipped with an IR filter. A system comprises the wall mount display device, a projector, the IR LED, the camera and an image recognition system. The projector attached with an IR-cut filter is connected to a playing medium and is installed to wall, ceiling or floor of a rear side of the display device. The camera is attached with the IR filter and is attached to the image recognition system.
