Abstract

A menu selection method for a mobile phone is provided to enable a user to successively input the item number of a corresponding sub menu or input a shortcut key in a state that the user presses a special key, thereby enabling the user to most quickly and conveniently select several menus frequently used. A menu selection method for a mobile phone comprises the following steps of: confirming whether a series of sub menu item number keys are inputted or whether a shortcut key is inputted in a state that a specific key is pushed(S1,S2,S6); and selecting a corresponding menu or a menu which is allocated to a corresponding shortcut key according to the confirmation result on a primary route for menu selection(S3,S7).
