본 발명은 증강현실을 이용한 휴대단말기 사용자의 위치정보 제공 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 개인 휴대단말기를 이용하여 본인의 위치정보를 서버에 제공하고, 상기 서버로부터 상대방의 위치정보를 제공받아 출력장치를 통해 HMD(Head Mounted Display)로 상기 사용자에게 제공함으로써 더욱 현실감 있는 지리정보 데이터 및 상대방의 위치정보를 제공한다.
