Abstract

PURPOSE: A female sanitary napkin is provided which is capable of preventing menstrual blood from leaking by ergonomically designing the same such that it fits in the cleft between wearer's buttocks when it is worn, thereby providing a good fit against the wearer's body and increasing comfort to use. CONSTITUTION: The female sanitary napkin(1) comprises: a liquid impervious outer cover(2) adapted to prevent menstrual blood from leaking out; an inner cover(3) having micro pores; an absorbent core(4) adapted to absorb the menstrual blood and provided between the outer cover(2) and the inner cover(3); an adhesive(5) applied for fixing the outer cover(2) on an undergarment; and a ridge-like projecting member(3A) adapted to fit in the cleft between the wearer's buttocks.
