Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for displaying two screens in a portable information terminal is provided to divide a screen into two to simultaneously present an original screen and a caller's photo, and to convert to show a function selected before a call on one screen after the call is terminated, thereby realizing user convenience. CONSTITUTION: When a menu is selected, a controller displays the menu on one screen, and a selected menu function is performed(S1-S3). If a call is received, a terminal informs a user of the call, so that the user can press a call button(S4,S5). The controller divides a display screen into two to display the menu on one screen while displaying a caller's photo or the caller's moving image on other screen, then carries out the call in speech mode(S6-S8). When the call is terminated, the controller converts the display screen into one screen while reading a final menu mode to display the mode on the one display screen, and the user executes the rest menu function(S9,S10).
