Abstract

PURPOSE: A device for preventing vortex inside a tank is provided to prevent the forming of vortex inside a tank and, thereby, to prevent the pump connected to the tank from being damaged by cavitation. CONSTITUTION: The device for preventing vortex inside a tank includes a vortex-preventing plate and a support(7). To make the vortex-preventing plate, edges of a predetermined number of rectangular planks are joined together at an axis, and the rectangular planks are positioned to make a certain angle between themselves. And, the rectangular planks of the vortex-preventing plate are positioned perpendicularly in the direction of the vortex formation to prevent the vortex. The support(7) supports the vortex-preventing plate to be installed around the pump-connecting tube(3) at the bottom of the storing tank(1).
