Abstract

PURPOSE: A multimedia USB(Universal Serial Bus) memory stick equipped with an MPEG4(Moving Picture Experts Group) contents playback function, an MP3(MPEG level 3) function, and a digital camcorder function is provided to offer portability and convenience to a user by installing multimedia functions in a small space with an SOC(System-On-Chip). CONSTITUTION: A device comprises the USB memory stick, an SOC block, a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) LCD, a digital camcorder, an MPEG4 player, and a battery. The SOC block is equipped with a CPU, a graphic accelerator, a buffer memory, and a driver to connect with an LCD and a camera. The MPEG4 player uses an MPEG4 Codec(Coder/Decoder) and an AAC(Advanced Audio Codec) to compress or decompress moving image/audio data. When the device is connected to a computer, the device is operated by using the USB power and charges the battery. An OS(Operating System) and an application program operating components are stored in the USB stick memory.

본 고안은 기존의 USB 스틱에 MPEG-4 멀티미디어 기능을 탑재한 것으로 종래에는디지털 카메라, MPEG-4 재생 기능을 구현 하려면 상당히 부피가 커서 USB 스틱 같은 소형 휴대용 장치에 탑재 하는 것이 불가능 했으나 본 고안에서는 CPU, 버퍼메모리, 그래픽 가속기 등을 내장한 시스템 온 칩을 사용 함으로서 초소형 멀티미디어 장치를 구현 할 수 있었다.The present invention is equipped with MPEG-4 multimedia function on the existing USB stick.
