Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for calculating a position of a moving target is provided to reduce largely the cost for calculating an accurate position of the moving target by using a synchronous signal and a distance measurement method. CONSTITUTION: A reference unit includes a plurality of ultrasonic receivers and a plurality of data transmitters. A moving target includes an ultrasonic generator and a synchronous signal and data receiver. A plurality of moving targets are registered to the reference unit. The reference unit permits one of the registered moving targets to generate an ultrasonic signal. The ultrasonic receivers of the reference unit receives the ultrasonic signal of the moving target. The reference unit produces a position value by using the received ultrasonic signal. The position value is transmitted to the moving target.
