Description
The present invention relates to a multifunctional optical shield, and more particularly, to a multifunctional optical shield in which various filters for observing a tooth are combined in a lens shape having a magnification.
A photopolymerizable composition which is cured by light at the time of dental treatment is widely used. To cure such a photopolymerizable composition, a blue light is irradiated to the teeth using a photopolymerizer.
When the operator looks at the patient's tooth for a long time, the wearer's eyes are fatigued, and repeated exposure may cause serious eye damage such as cataracts.
When using a light curing unit, an optical shield having a filter for blocking blue light is used to block blue light directly from the operator's eyes.
An example of an optical shield is disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,228,231 to LIGHT SHIELD FOR DENTAL APPARATUS.
In order to check whether a patient has dental caries, plaque, or oral cancer at the time of a dental treatment, the operator may illuminate the light of the appropriate wavelength band and see the region of the light of the corresponding wavelength band A filter is required. The object of the present invention described above can be achieved by a multifunctional optical shield.
