본 고안에 의하면 사용자로 하여금 수면시 구강으로 호흡을 할 수 있도록 유도한다. 이에 의하면 비강으로의 호흡이 곤란함으로써 일어나는 코골이 현상이 치유 내지 완화되는 것이다. 또한 치아(101,102) 사이에 통기관(20) 내지 후면판(12,13)이 개입되어 있어 치아(101,102) 사이의 직접적인 접촉이 일어나지 않도록 하며, 이에 의하여 이갈이 현상이 치유 또는 완화되게 된다.

사용시 윗입술과 아랫입술 사이에 위치되도록 상기 구강고정부에 설치되는 것으로서, 수면시에도 외부의 공기가 입술을 통해 구강 내부로 공급될 수 있도록 관로를 제공하는 통기관;
을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코골이 및 이갈이 방지기구.
