본 고안은 일반건축물 및 공동주택에서 사용되어지는 전기콘센트의 안전카버에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 콘센트를 사용하지 않을 경우, 콘센트 구멍이 노출되어 있어, 먼지 및 이물질 등이 끼어 미관을 해치고 노출된 구멍으로 인해 발생하는 안전사고를 예방하고자 건축물 내부벽체에 설치된 콘센트를 덮는 안전콘센트카버이다.
본 고안은 벽면에 매립되어 있는 전기소켓에 탈착이 가능한 "기본판(인사이드 프레이트)"과 그 위에 상하로 슬라이딩 작동되는 "덮개판(슬라이딩 아웃카버)"으로 구성되며, 기본판에는 안쪽으로 6개의 고정맞춤돌기가 있어 벽면에 매립되어 있는 소켓에 부착되며, 물론 탈착이 가능하며, 그 양옆면에 사이드 레일홈을 두고 약간의 힘을 작용하여 작동시킬 수 있는 레일턱을 설치하여 그 위를 덮는 덮개판이 2단으로 작동되게 하였다.
