Description

Pack for Preventing Freezing And Bursting Of Water Meter}

The present invention relates to a freeze protection pack for a water meter, and more particularly, to a freeze protection pack for a water meter installed inside the water meter box and facilitating water meter reading.

A water meter is installed at the inlet of the water supply pipe connected to the consumer to measure the water consumption of the consumer such as an apartment, townhouse or single-family house. The water meter is usually installed inside the water meter box with accessories such as a valve.

Water meter boxes are easy to freeze because they are placed in a cold environment in winter. Therefore, customers have used freeze protection means to prevent freezes themselves. However, the conventional standardized products have been proposed because they do not meet the specifications and are not only inconvenient to use, but also aesthetically inferior.

One example is the freeze protection pack proposed by Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0957704 (hereinafter referred to as 'prior art'). The freeze protection pack according to the prior art is made of PE material, and the front part and the rear part are bonded to each other to provide a space therein, and the interior space is filled with a moisture proof material and a heat insulating material. According to such a configuration, it is possible to prevent the pipe inside the meter box from freezing by the moisture proof material and the heat insulating material, and the installation is convenient.

However, since the front part and the rear part are installed to cover the inside of the meter box as a whole, the reading part of the meter should be read at the time of the meter reading, and thus the freeze protection pack for the water meter should be removed. And after the meter reading should be covered again. If the metering staff has to repeat this task for each customer, this is a very large labor loss, which reduces work efficiency.

The purpose of the present invention for the above problems is installed in the water meter box to prevent freezing of the meter and pipes in the freeze protection pack for the water meter, even when installed in the water meter box can easily read the display of the water meter It is an object of the present invention to provide a freeze protection pack for a water meter.

The above objects and various advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the preferred embodiments of the present invention by those skilled in the art.

The above object is to be installed inside the water meter box so as to cover the water meter and the accessories connected thereto, the outer surface of the outer sheet to form a receiving space by joining the edge of the upper sheet and the lower sheet, and the receiving space for insulation And a filling material filled in the filling material, wherein the upper sheet and the lower sheet correspond to the display portion in a state where the filling material is removed so that the display portion of the water meter can be visually read at a position corresponding to the water meter of the shell. It is achieved by the freeze protection pack for water meter, characterized in that a viewing window is provided by joining in a ring shape or a shape having a corresponding area at the position.

According to a feature of the present invention, the viewing window may be in the form of a through hole.

The hole-shaped viewing window may be provided with a heat insulating reinforcing member in the form of a cover or a stopper.

According to the above configuration, in addition to the basic action to prevent the freezing of the water meter by keeping warm, it is possible to read the meter even in the state where the freeze protection pack is installed. Therefore, the meter reading operation of the water meter is easy and the working efficiency can be improved.

1 is a cross-sectional view of the freeze protection pack for a water meter according to an embodiment of the present invention.
2 is a perspective view of a freeze protection pack for a water meter according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along the AA ′ direction of FIG. 2.
4 is a perspective view of a freeze protection pack for a water meter according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along the direction BB ′ of FIG. 3.

Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings (Figs. 1 to 5) as a whole will be described in detail the specific contents of the present invention while referring to the specific drawings where necessary.

Freeze protection pack (10. hereinafter, only referred to as 'freeze prevention pack') for the water meter is installed inside the water meter box 110 to cover and insulate the water meter 100 and accessories such as valves or pipes connected thereto (See FIG. 2). The user opens the lid of the meter box 110, and then inserts the freeze protection pack 10 so as to cover the water meter (100. hereinafter, 'meter'), etc. and simply close the lid again to prevent freezing The pack 10 can be installed.

Freeze protection pack 10 is a form of a wide wrapping paper filled with a filler in the receiving space provided inside the outer shell (20). The filler basically includes the thermal insulator 30 in the form of small particles, and may further include a moisture barrier 40. The envelope may be formed by joining edges with the top sheet 21 and the bottom sheet 22 superimposed on one another. The bonding method will be determined according to the materials of the upper sheet 21 and the lower sheet 22. As the material of the outer shell 20, synthetic resin is safe and will be described below with reference to this.

However, a flexible material such as woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, or synthetic resin sheet may be used as the outer skin 20. In the case of the fabric it may be kept sealed by sewing and in other cases it may be kept sealed by heat fusion or adhesive bonding.

The freeze protection pack 10 may be freely deformed so as to evenly fill the internal space of the meter box 110, but is not necessarily limited thereto. For example, the shell 20 may be manufactured by injection molding or blow molding to have a regular shape.

The heat insulating material 30 is preferably in the form of small particles made of styrofoam as a foam. In this case, the thermal insulation effect can be further increased by the electrostatic effect of the particles. As mentioned, a moisture barrier (eg, silica gel) may be further filled in addition to the insulation 30. As shown the moisture-proof material 40 is also distributed evenly inside the freeze protection pack 10 in the form of particles, it may be provided in a pack form as if it is embedded in a general processed food packaging.

The freeze protection pack 10 may further include an opening means (not shown) such as a zipper or a velcro tape to compensate for the decrease in the volume of the heat insulating material 30 to the moisture proof material 40 filled therein. .

The core of the present invention lies in providing see-through windows 50 and 50 'on a portion of the shell 20 so that the water meter 100 can be read even when the freeze protection pack 10 is installed. The see-through windows 50, 50 'can be formed by the method described below.

Perspective windows 50 and 50 'are in a state corresponding to the water meter 100 of the outer shell 20, with the filler removed so that the display 105 of the water meter 100 can be visually read. The upper sheet 21 and the lower sheet 22 are formed by joining in a ring shape at a position corresponding to the display portion 105 of the water meter. Perspective windows 50 and 50 ′ may be provided in the form of being blocked by the shell 20 as shown in FIG. 1 or in the form of holes 51 as shown in FIGS. 2 to 5. Of course, the see-through windows 50 and 50 'may be formed by surface-adhesion of the upper sheet 21 and the lower sheet 22 in a predetermined area corresponding to the display portion 105 of the water meter 100.

The see-through window 50 ′ of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is provided in a clogged form by a joint 23 formed by thermally fusion in which the top sheet 21 and the bottom sheet 22 are free of fillers. According to this embodiment, the outer shell 20 should be a transparent material. The junction 23 will be of a width and shape corresponding to the display portion 105 of the water meter 100. The junction 23 may be in the form of a ring of circular or polygonal shape, and the see-through window 50 'is composed of two layers of sheets. Therefore, it is well known that an air layer 25 may be provided inside a region corresponding to the see-through window 50 ', which is preferable for thermal insulation. The freeze protection pack 10 is basically a wide quadrangular shape as shown in FIG. 2 or 4.

2 to 5 according to another embodiment of the present invention, the see-through window 50 is provided in the form of a hole 51 completely penetrating the center portion of the shell 20. The see-through window 50 is formed at a position corresponding to a portion where the display unit 105 of the water meter 100 is located in the meter box 110.

When the outer shell 20 is a synthetic resin, it is possible to make the see-through window 50 corresponding to the shape of the junction part 23 by heat-sealing in a ring shape. The junction part 23 may be a heat seal part or a sewing part depending on the material of the outer shell 20.

According to the present exemplary embodiment, since a hole 51 is formed in a part of the outer shell 20, there may be a problem in keeping warm. Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the thermal insulation reinforcing member 60 is installed to cover the see-through window 50. 2 to 3 show the thermal insulation reinforcing member 60 in the form of a cover (60a). It will be convenient for the meter reading if the cover 60a is in transparent form.

Another embodiment with a sight glass 50 in the form of a hole 51 is shown in FIGS. 4 to 5. As shown, the thermal insulation reinforcing member 60 is a tubular plug (cylindrical bar shown) with the top closed. The stopper 60b according to the present embodiment is fitted to the see-through window 50 to cover the water meter 100 as shown.

In the embodiment described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5, the shell 20 is distinguished from the previous embodiment in that it may be an opaque material.

Of course, the outer shell 20 may be made of an opaque material, and only the see-through window 50 'portion may be made transparent.

It is to be understood that the foregoing is merely illustrative of one preferred embodiment of the present invention and that modifications and variations may be made thereto without departing from the spirit of the invention.
