Abstract

PURPOSE: A device for preventing freezing of a water pipe is provided to supply water conveniently in winter by automatically breaking the unit installed between the water meter and the valve with the spring in increasing pressure over the reference value. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing freezing of a water pipe is installed between a water meter and a valve to decrease pressure of the water pipe automatically by a spring in increasing pressure of the water pipe over the reference value. Pressure of the water pipe is regulated with force of the spring, and freezing of the water meter is prevented by breaking the device automatically in increasing pressure over the reference value. In increasing the volume of water from change of temperature, water is discharged by the freezing preventing device to restrict the low stress portion of the water meter from being broken and frozen.
