Abstract

PURPOSE: An apparatus for storing and reproducing an audio signal of a TV is provided to store an audio signal and a caption signal corresponding to the audio signal and reproduce the stored audio and caption signals on occasional demands. CONSTITUTION: A key input member(10) inputs a key for selecting a specific function of the TV. A microprocessor(12) controls the specific function corresponding to the key input of the key input member. An audio processing member(16) converts an audio signal of a tuner(14) according to the control of the microprocessor in order to meet a specific audio format. An audio/character converting member(18) converts the converted audio signal of the audio processing member according to the control of the microprocessor in order to meet a specific character format. A storage member(20) stores the audio signal having the specific format of the audio processing member and the character signal having the specific format of the audio/character converting member according to the control of the microprocessor. A reproducing member(22) accesses the storage member and reproduces the stored audio and character according to the control of the microprocessor.
