Abstract

PURPOSE: A device for lighting a flash of a cellular phone is provided to light LEDs(Light Emitting Diodes) for a flash at certain intervals by using a driving pulse string without continuously lighting the LED while photographing an image with a cellular phone camera, thereby realizing power-saving effects. CONSTITUTION: An MSM(Mobile Station Modem)(1) outputs a driving pulse string for lighting LEDs of a flash(4). A camera(2) photographs a subject to be pictured under the control of the MSM(1). In a photographing mode of the camera(2), the LEDs are lighted in the flash(4) at certain intervals during a predetermined time by the driving pulse string when a peripheral luminous intensity is less than a certain value. The flash(4) divides the LEDs into two groups, and alternately lights the divided LEDs by using the driving pulse string.
