Abstract

PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to achieve improved sensitivity and reduce a power consumption, while correcting distortions on the screen and allowing for ease of control of convergence characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a coil separator including a screen portion and a neck portion, wherein the coil separator has an inner surface on which a vertical deflection coil is mounted; a ferrite core disposed on the outer surface of the coil separator, and which cooperates with the deflection coil so as to reinforce magnetic fields; and a horizontal deflection coil(100) having a front surface on which a screen portion with a groove(110) is formed to decrease magnetic fields and a rear surface on which a neck portion is formed, wherein the horizontal deflection coil is arranged on the outer surface of the coil separator.
