Abstract

본 고안은 PDA와 노트북용 직각USB접속단자에 관한 것으로, 양쪽의 커넥터를 하나의 커넥터집에 직각으로 연결시킴으로 외부 디바이스가 PDA본체에 공간적으로 접지되게 구성하였다. 이는 특히 PDA의 USB외부디바이스 활용이 미약했던 이유가 휴대의 불편함에서 있었음을 해소시킨다.The present invention relates to a right angle USB connection terminal for a PDA and a notebook. USB(Universal Serial Bus)는 현재 외부버스의 주류인 SCSI와 비교하면 케이블은 세밀하고, 가벼우며 플러그 앤 플레이를 지원하기 때문에, 컴퓨터 주변기기를 간단하게 접속 할 수 있는 기술이다. 고안에서는 이 USB의 접속 기능은 유지하되 크기와 방향을 변경하여 PDA와 노트북과 같은 휴대용 컴퓨터에 주변기기를 장착케 한다.USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a technology that makes it easy to connect computer peripherals because the cable is detailed, lightweight, and plug and play, compared to the current mainstream SCSI bus. The idea is to keep the USB's connectivity but change its size and orientation so that peripherals can be attached to portable computers such as PDAs and laptops.

PDA의 활용은 기기의 내부기능 외에 많은 외부디바이스에 있다. 특히 USB 확장성은 매우 진보적인 형태라 할 수 있다. 하지만 이런 USB의 외부디바이스를 사용하지 않는 이유는 부피가 큰 외부디바이스에 의한 PDA휴대장착의 불가능에 있었고. 이는 매우 유용한 PDA의 사용을 격감시키게 하였다.이러한 단점을 보완키위해 직각USB접속단자를 고안하였다. PDA와 노트북에 USB외부기기 설치시 휴대를 제한 받던 결점을 보완하여 USB 메모리 등의 외부디바이스를 무한히 활용할 수 있게 한다.The use of PDAs is found in many external devices besides the internal functions of the device. PDA에서 USB메모리의 활용은 필수적이다. 저장매체의 부족한 용량과 백업을 USB메모리가 대신하여 주는 것이다. 하지만 USB메모리의 활용시에 그 장착은 그림1과 그림2 같이 휴대하기가 매우 힘들다. 이렇게 되면 USB메모리를 별도로 휴대하여하 하며 PDA의 사용시마다 그림1과 그림2 같이 다시 부착하여야한다. 이와 유사한 노트북의 예는 그림3과 같다.The use of USB memory in PDA is essential.
