Abstract

PURPOSE: A manual mode and an automatic mode of an SIP-H323 interworking system are provided to perform a mapping function between protocols in an SIP network or an SIP terminal or in an H.323 network or an H323 terminal, thereby carrying out call setting, changing, and completing functions between entities. CONSTITUTION: When an SIP UA(User Agent) is registered in an SIP-H323 interworking system as a client for deciding whether to receive a call setup request, the SIP-H323 interworking system registers SIP UA information in an H323 gatekeeper. If an H323 endpoint is registered in the SIP-H323 interworking system, the SIP-H323 interworking system registers H.323 endpoint information in an SIP server. The SIP UA is registered by selecting an automatic mode while the SIP UA information is registered in the H.323 gatekeeper.
