작금의 황토염색 및 코팅방법은 크게 두가지로, 전래되어 내려오고 있는 천연염색 방법과 일반염색공정에서 후가공시 침염 또는 패딩공법으로 처리하는 것인데 상기의 방법들은 모두가 황토가 섬유에 침투되거나 표면에 코팅되어 고착되어있는 현상으로 가공기술의 취약으로 세탁회수가 늘어날수록 쉽게 퇴색되거나 황토가 이탈되어 요구하는 생리활성기능을 오랜기간 유지할 수가 없었다. 즉 일반 세탁방법으로도 수회에서 이십회 미만으로 고착된 황토가 대부분 이탈되기 때문에 세탁시 삶는다는 것은 도저히 상상할 수 없었다.There are two main methods of dyeing and coating ocher, which are the traditional dyeing method and conventional dyeing process, which are processed by dip dyeing or padding method during post processing.
