Abstract

PURPOSE: A process of preparing a lime-Bordeaux liquid by using calcium hydroxide instead of quicklime is provided which provides solution to problem of phytotoxicity of conventional lime-Bordeaux liquid as well as sludge problem while reducing a hydration time without cooling process. CONSTITUTION: Calcium hydroxide and copper sulfate are dissolved in water respectively to produce a first and second solution. The first and second solutions are blended by slowly agitating and the mixed liquid is then blended with zinc sulfate and sugar.
